I do not own Inuyasha or any other character associated with the works of Rumiko Takahashi. I make no money off this or any other fandom.
A/N: Hi guys! I’ve been having some trouble writing lately as evident by the constant writing and deleting you’ve all seen lately. I don’t know why, but my ideas sound cool at first until I start writing and then I just feel….blah. So I’ve finally decided to cut the back and forth and just bring back what I call the Prologue Collection. From now on every time I get a new idea I’m gonna post the first chapter rather than try to create an entire story and store it as the material I can use after I finish my other tales. I appreciate all of you hanging in there with me during this time, and I promise I’m working on my other stories as we speak. Drapetomania is getting a second revamp starting from Ch 29 on and Emergence is getting a different chapter 10 as well. Anyway on to the first installment of Prologue Collection!
Title: Village Blues
Summary: After the boys cause an accident that nearly destroy an entire village, the trio is forced to remain until they can repair what they broke while Kagome turns to writing to record the events that transpire.
Entry 1:
I've decided to start writing regularly about my current life here in the seaside village I'm being forced to live in for the moment. Yes forced….it's a long story. I assure you.
Recently I've run into a bit of financial trouble…..though it wasn't my fault per say….I did have a hand in this village's destruction and as a result…..Sesshomaru, myself, and of course (the person's whose fault this really is) Kazuki the wise are being forced to remain here until we can repair the village and get the villagers off our backs.
Inu no Taisho refused to help.
The reason the village got destroyed however….
Trapped under the ogre's massive body, Kazuki groaned in pain at the feeling of his stomach being pressed into the ground. Above him the creature laughed at its prey, it’s wooden club poised and prepared to finish him off. Thinking quickly, the red-haired fox reached deep inside his body as Kagome had taught him, calling on the magic of his ancestors to help him out this predicament. All around him, the forest became silent as he drew out the once long forgotten power and muttered a chant under his breath as his body began to glow with a golden light. Since he couldn’t beat the demon, he would run. It might not be the most honorable thing in the world, but at least, it was the smartest. “See ya!” he shouted out as both he and the ogre became engulfed in his ancestors bright light.
The result; he screwed up the spell and instead of teleporting himself, transported the ogre which unleashed its wrath on the village destroying everything in its path until Sesshomaru managed to kill it (along with causing more damage because of Bakusaiga) and I was the one who gave them these tools with which they literally raised hell.
So here we are.
Sesshomaru didn't want to but since the villagers marched to the castle and nearly rioted….Inu no Taisho told them his son would see to it all the proper repairs were made and that we wouldn't leave until it was complete.
Needless to say, I've been sleeping alone for the past three days.
He's such a baby…..
But that isn't the least of our problems. We're currently living in a dilapidated shack just outside of the village, having to go down to the seaside every day and build and repair and apologize. I think Sesshomaru’s fangs are dull now due to his teeth grinding. He is not happy with this situation at all. ‘This lifestyle is beneath me.’ He keeps saying.
Like I said before. He's a baby.
But alas that is why I've decided to keep this journal. I need an outlet and who knows; maybe this will one day serve as a reminder of why we shouldn't play with black magic….or at the very least provide someone with a good story one day. So, let's let the new adventure begin. Here we go!
--------------------------------------
Entry 2:
It’s only been the first day and already we have a problem. Kazuki ran off leaving me and Sesshomaru to do today's work….Of course we went looking for him.
And we found him….rutting with some random woman.
Had I been alone I would have left him to it, but apparently Sesshomaru and I not having sex for six days has taken its toll on him because he threw a rock….knocking Kazu unconscious and making the girl flee in horror. When he came to, Kazu was mad….apparently the woman he ran off was the love of his life….The third one this year according to Sesshomaru’s count.
I managed to keep Sesshomaru from killing Kazu the wise, but couldn't save anyone from what happened when we finally came back.
As it turns out the random female was the village heads daughter, who told her father everything and added that Kazu was the one who took her innocence….
Apparently he didn’t take it well.
Kazuki is currently tied up and hanging upside down from a tree. He can come down in four days.
How lucky for us.

Entry 3:
With Kazuki indisposed at the moment, Sesshomaru has been in a way better mood. Luckily for us, the village is about a quarter rebuilt (being a trading hub, it's huge!) though the boats and ships will have to wait until I can figure out how a steering system works. Nobody in this village is willing to help us with anything, after all it's our fault half of them are reduced to sleeping outdoors til their houses are fixed.
At least, he's willing to sleep with me now. Wonder how long that will last once Kazuki is free once more?
That headman's daughter has been with him every night, but I'm pretty sure he's not interested in anything she has to say right now. Kazuki still claims that woman is the love of his life, but I’m pretty sure it’s just the blood all rushing to his head.
Other than that….nothing really new to report. Go figure.

Entry 4:
I was way too busy to write yesterday but there’s really nothing to report. Kazu was finally let down from the tree and even though he insists he’s fine, we aren’t letting him near any tools until he stops seeing three of everything. Other than that, it’s just been rebuilding and remodeling. Hopefully, something more interesting will happen later…..being that Kazu’s with us, though, I’m pretty sure we can count on it.
