Kagome Higurashi, 20 years old this very day, walked with her arms wrapped tightly around her tiny frame. She shivered in the chilly fall weather, attempting to burrow in the recesses of her black baggy TU sweatshirt. Why in the world she was out, alone, on a creepy night on an even creepier road was currently evading her at the moment. Kagome glanced back repeatedly, but could not see anything in the frighteningly clear air behind her.
Maybe I'm just being paranoid...
A jarring snap from behind had Kagome's senses on automatic defense mode---she spun around fists at the ready to uppercut whatever was stalking her.
She blinked owlishly when a midnight black kitty appeared, hissed, and took off into the night.
She sighed dropping a hand to her heart.
"Stupid, Kagome, just a silly little cat." she muttered shaking her head at her own foolishness.
She pivoted on the ball of her heel and took off, casting one last glance behind her.
If I'm just being dumb, then why can't I shake this feeling I'm being....watched...

Eyes the color of burnished golden coins trailed lazily after the retreating female.
A miko. How...interesting...
The image of her brillantly flashing cerulean eyes and pale stricken face, little fists raised to defend, brought a lazy fanged smirk to his mouth.
Defensive tactics would get her nowhere with him, but the calling of her innocence, her very essence, would get her everywhere.
Run away little hellcat, hide while you can. Your breed are a rare find for a kind such as ours. Soon, you'll find worse than dogs lurking outside your door.
With that dark omen, the wraith disappeared into the night.
