The crunching of gravel and small jerking movements caused Kagome to open her storm blue eyes slowly, to the darkness of her surroundings. It took her groggy mind a few seconds to realize that she was blind folded and she instinctively reached up only to realize that her hands were bound behind her back as well as her ankles. She struggled a bit in panic ignoring the stinging of rope rubbing her skin raw and tried to sit up only to fall backwards from a sharp jerk of movement which landed her back against cold medal bars causing her to wince in pain. She came to the conclusion that she was in some form of carriage and that it was obviously taking her some where. She stopped a moment to figure out how she came to be there. I was about to go back home through the well when I was knocked unconscious, meaning Inuyasha may not know I'm missing. And since it was determined that I was going back home for good then he's most likely not going to save me. Well that's just great. She thought angerly. It took me forever to come to the decision to leave and now this happens!? I swear if a youkai took me I am so purifying it to Hell!
Her internal rant was cut short from a sharp jerk of the carriage causing her to fall forward this time from its sudden stop. She groaned in pain after she scraped her chin on the wooden planks of the floor and she slowly lifted her self up. That hurt! She heard muffled yelling from the outside before suddenly the creaking of, what she assumed to be, the door opened and only a second later something extremely heavy and warm landed on top of her. She struggled to get out from underneath what was obviously a body, and to her dismay an extremely heavy body, and slowly pulled herself out. Kagome heard chuckling from the outside and became really angry at the fact that they were laughing at her. " Hey you creeps! I don't see what's so funny about this and what the heck do you want from me any way?" She heard more chuckling and then a gravely mans voice reached her ears. He had an accent she couldn't place and had her even more nervous than before. "Why money of course, the Shikon Miko and the Youkai Lord of the West will make a fine profit for me and my companions." He chuckled one more time after seeing her face pale beneath the blind fold before slamming the door shut.
Kagome felt the color leave from her face when he said Youkai Lord of the West. They don't mean the Western Lord as in Sesshomaru, do they!? Oh Kami, please don't let the person they just threw on me be him. It wasn't that she was afraid of him per say, after all he was there to help them defeat Naraku and she knew he's not as cold hearted as before, heck he even saved her a couple of times. It was just that he had an even worse temper than Inuyasha and death usually followed after. She could only assume that he was knocked out since she doubted he would let someone toss him into a cage. But then it lead to the question, how did he get knocked out to begin with? Not even Naraku could trap him so how did he let this happen? She felt the carriage start once more and she tried to find a more comfortable position but failed miserably.
Some small part of her wanted to cry. It took her days to come to the conclusion of leaving the feudal era and now she's about to be shipped off to Kami knows where with little chance of rescue from her friends. She doubted Sesshomaru would help her, after all they could only be considered as loose allies. Her situation was seeming more hopeless by the second and all she wanted to do was curl up into a ball and cry, but she couldn't even do that since her arms and legs were bound. Instead she slowly lowered herself to her side on the floor and she could already tell that she was going to have cramps the next time she wakes up, she didn't know what time it was. She smiled sadly. Inuyasha, Sango, Miroku, Shippo, Kaede. Will any of you realize that I'm still here?
Deep down, she already knew the answer and with a heavy heart she let herself fall into a light sleep of despair, feeling the cloth over her eyes becoming damp with her tears.
