Author's Note: This truly is a beautiful song. Inspired by Lost It All by Black Veil Brides. I suggest listening to it while you read this chapter. It might give you a better feel of the Tone but you don't have to.
Disclaimer: Sadly, I do Not own InuYasha. Even more tragicly, I don't own BVB (I'm exaggerating this).
I ruled the world.
With these hands I shook the heavens to the ground.
An erethal man paced in a room fit for the richest king. His mind traveled back many years, back to a time when there was a great evil in the lands. Its name was Naraku. He was a psycho. Naraku had taken immense pleasure in torturing amd slaughtering thousands of innocents. The silver headed man sighed.
I laid the gods to rest.
I held the key to the kingdom.
Back then, the silver headed yokai believed he was invincible. That nothing could hurt him. He was after all, the great Sesshōmaru, the Killing Perfect. He was a God, or so he believed. He needed nor wanted anyone. Now he knows he was wrong.
Lions guarding castle walls
Hail the king of death.
Sesshōmaru looks forlonly out in the distance. Thinking of better, more happier times. He thought of his mate. She was beautiful. More precious than a diamond. And all of their beautiful pups. He loved them all so greatly. He still does.
Then I lost it all
Dead and broken.
My back's against the wall.
Cut me open.
Then..they just vanished. Disappeared. Gone without a trace. He had spent many decades searching for them, traveling to foreign lands. His beast howled and raged for their return. As one, they searched. But they were never found. He eventually gave up hope, believing them to be dead...to be lost to him for all time.
I'm just trying to breath,
Just trying to figure it out.
Because I built these walls to watch them crumbling down
I said, "Then I lost it all."
And who can save me now?
He built walls long before he had met her, had met his Kagome. She broke them and entered his heart. She made him happy, made him feel. But now, all he feels is pain. A dull aching pain that never goes away. He built new walls after they disappeared. And they always come crumbling down, especially this night. It's the 500 year anniversary of their disappearance. He lost his heart, his reason to live.
I stood above
Another war,
Another jewel upon the crown.
After their disappearance, many tried to claim his throne. They all said he could no long be ruler with no heir. He fought them back. Defeated them all because he knew that was what Kagome would have wanted. Wars sprung up and conspiracy theories spread when they found out the Shikon no Tama Miko, the greatest miko since Midoriko herself, the one who surparssed the Jewel's creator, vanished into thin air.
I was the fear of men.
But I was blind.
I couldn't see the world there right in front of me.
But now I can... (yeah)
Sesshōmaru thought he was perfect, that nothing would dare to try to bring harm to what was his. Everyone feared him, even the other Yokai Lords. But he was foolish. He saw his mistake for what it was. He now knows that if it is meant to be, he can't stop it. Not everything fears him.
'Cause I lost it all
Dead and broken.
My back's against the wall.
Cut me open.
He still mourns to this day. He mourns there loss. He wonders if he will ever know what happened to them that fateful day, five hundred years ago. A tear slips down his face and lands on the ground.
I'm just trying to breathe,
Just trying to figure it out
Because I built these walls to watch them crumbling down
I said, “Then I lost it all."
Who can save me now?
(Oh)
He decided that today, on the Five hundredth anniversary, he would die. He would kill himself. He had given up so long ago but had held on for the sake of his mate and in her memory. 'Perhaps we'll see each other again...' Sesshōmaru thought to himself.
I believe that we all fall down sometimes (oh)
Can't you see (can't you see it) that we all fall down sometimes? (oh, yeah, oh, yeah, oh yeah)
He got into his car and drove to a park. He parked it and got out. He walked to the woods behind it and into them. He wandered until he found the perfect spot.
I believe that we all fall down sometimes (oh)
(Can't you see, yeah)
Can't you see that we all fall down sometimes? (yeah, we all, yeah, we all fall down)
Sesshōmaru prepared himself to see the smiling face of his gorgeous mate. A wistfull smile ghosted over his pale lips. 'I'm coming home.' He thinks as he raises the gun.
Yeah
Sesshōmaru loads the gun and takes the safety off. He breathes in deep To calm himself. Sesshōmaru aims it at his beating heart.
I believe that we all fall down sometimes
Yeah
“Sesshōmaru! Don't do it! Put that gun down!"
“Papa no!” He blinks. Sesshōmaru swears he hears the sound of his mate and the cries of his pups. He shakes his head and cocks the gun.
“No!" That same voice screams as multiple things come barreling into him. He looks up and gasps.
“Mate? Pups? Am I dead? I've missed you so much? What happened?" Sesshōmaru cries out as he gathers them in his arms. They all start crying.
“It's us. We're safe. I told you we'd be together forever. What happened to us is a story for another time. Come, let's go home.” Kagome whispers. They all walk to the quaint cottage in the middle of the woods.
Author's Note: So what did you think? Sorry about the wall of text thing, I've been having trouble copying and pasting on my Nook lately. This same exact Thing happened on another website I'm on. I'll try to fix it and make sure it doesn't happen again. Once again, I'm sorry for the inconvience and the trouble you all probably had reading it.
