Perhaps I'm just odd, but it just seems like you decided to write a different story suddenly where everything including the tone is different.  Not familiar with the story that you're now citing in the summary either.  I want to finish the story, but finding it difficult to get into the shift.

This reminds me a bit of a story I read once, a version of beauty and the beast where she could never look at him adn he would only come to her at night. He would be a man in the evenings and she fell for him, sneaking in a candle to see his face seh ended up cursing him to an eternity in his beastial form not long before the curse on him would have broken. it was beautiful and tragic and I'm getting those vibes and feels from this... Its a wonderful story you are writing, so fun to read!

Puzzled by the last few chapters.  Not really seeing the purpose of it going down like that.  If it is Sesshoumaru, it's turning what should have been a happy time into a trauma?  I don't really see that as sweet, just tragic.

Hmm... did Sesshoumaru's beast take over? I wonder if Kagome was going to come with him anyway, why go through all this. I can't wait to see what happens next :)

Reminds me of Edith Pattou's novel, "East," Robin McKinley's novel, "Beauty," and the Norwegian fairytale "East of the Sun and West of the Moon" (which you may have mentioned earlier on). Been following your tale since the beginning - only now having the time to take a minute to review - and I'm excited to see how you continue your story. Great job :)
