I think you did a wonderful job of succinctly capturing the ways that Kagome and Sesshoumaru would feel about their time apart and their losses of human companions in the centuries between them. You also provided a look ahead at a happier future for them without leaving the reader feeling like something is missing or like they have to read more. I was never a fan of one-shots when I was a kid reading fanfiction, but as an adult, I appreciate them a lot more, especially when they're done like this. Great work!
