Though I appreciate the story and its original plot (the summary drew me in right away, like a snap!), I have a few laments against Inumama. I know that her character was placed there to explain Sess's stoic facade, and to place the seeds of pity in Inuyasha and the reader alike. However, I feel that her character was very one-dimensional. Tell me, what words come into your mind when you hear her name? Cruel, heartless. It's evidence of your clever plotplay, but her cruelty seems to be too extreme.
Even Tiger Mothers have limits. Amy Chua does admit that she had to strike compromises with her children, and she has a good intention. Inumama seems to be like the Tiger Mother, and you have painted her in a fierce light. However, is it okay to see some shards of humanity through (though she's clearly not human...)?
Thanks for reading this review. Needless to say, I'm a fan ;-)
Kayelyn (Chapter 290) - Fri 28 Dec 2012
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA! I can't even breathe I'm laughing so hard. I love how you have him calm and in controland with just a few words turn him into this pacing nervous sort of wreck and it works so well. Plus, I can just see him all bug eyed aboutt Kagome and later Rin's heat cycle. HILARIOUS. I forsee a freak out in the near in the next chapter. ::cackles::
