The writing is well paced, and there is almost a sultry flow to the way you wrote the whole thing. The beginning was a little vague and could have used a hint more definition, but it was easy enough to get past and enjoy the rest of the story. People forget that there is an art to tattooing. I myself intend to get my first rather soon, and this story only amplified the feelings the accompany the event. Getting a tattoo is personal; it's leaving marks on yourself to forever remember things that are important. To incorporate the whole feudal lifestyle change into the permanent art of the body is simply mind-numbing.

This is truly a piece of artwork in itself. I have never related so much to one fanfiction before in all my years of reading them. It flowed nicely, the results were unpredictable, and the concept truly touched me.
