YEY!!! Happy Ending! Happy Ending! Happy Ending!

I'm glad Takashi was able to see the pain in Sesshomaru. I cried for Sesshomaru because you can feel his agony with his hope for living now gone and he knowing that he had the choice to stop Kagome from going to the past but did not - I'm sure he took it as he himself sending her to her death when he could prevent it. He is incredibly strong willed to have let the future play out like it should and still hold on. I was half afraid he would take his own life (like Seppku or something) but I am so glad he stayed strong for just a little longer.

For Kagome to see how he suffered from her death should show her how much he truly cared for her. He never moved on, never took another lover or mate, he stayed true to her and never had a family except for what he had (Rin, Shippo, Takashi, and Kohana). That is a long, long time to go without an intimate touch from another. And yet he couldn't move on.

Then to know at that very moment Kagome would battle the evil and sacrifice everything to save the people and youkai she loved.....*dries tears* After the final chapter I am just going to HAVE to reread it all over again with a box of tissues.

Wow it took me a LONG moment to figure it out and realized what the hell had happened. I mean one moment he's there and they're there and then he's THERE and then she is THERE. She pops up and it was the day of the battle the jewel was completely free and cleansed blah blah she's returned and you made a thing where once its gone its gone and she returns back to her era and whatnot (and the whole time-traveling thing) and wow okay I really like what you did there! Seriously mind-blowing and just poignant and I was just about getting ready to strangle YOU for dragging out all of the poignancy and sorrowful emotions and ugh I had tears in my eyes and stuffs but then Kagome pops out of the well and I'm just like...oh my god. There is a happily ever after for them after all!

And the craziest parts are the fact that her own mother and family had no idea the entire time that she had perished and the true meaning behind "Mr. Nishimura's" donation and sorrow. Its awful that Sesshoumaru had to go through 500 years alone dealing with her death and then have him live through her death AGAIN and then she suddenly pops out like that! Kind of cruel actually...you like to torture your characters, eh? Kagome must feel at least a little awful for what he had to go through too but I am just so elated that after everything they have been through they can finally be together in peace! (although its a bit disappointing...Kagome would have made a wonderful Lady of the West pre-modern era ahaha). But seriously that twist you threw in at the VERY end - I am very impressed and really did not see this coming. I was contemplating all of the ways you could possibly come up with to make this a happy ending and I was not expecting something like this; of course you would come up with something unexpected however. How characteristic of the Kami. And the title completely makes sense now! From the beginning I had always thought it had something to do with Neikan's mask or something? But I figured eventually it would become clearer and it did. This story has come together nicely and I am saddened to see it already end but...ah at least you are writing other brilliant stories as well!

Sorry if it seems like I have not given anything constructive or coherant in this review, I'm just...the chapter was just mind-blowing but I understand everything now and it all really does tie in wonderfully. Its not like you need anything anymore anyway! We are at the epilogue now and at this point there is nothing much more to really say but: well done. As usual of course~ Looking forward to the very last chapter and I can finally breathe easily now knowing that this whole thing didn't end up with a angst and tragic ending after all.

Its sad that the story is ending, but every thing end eventually. I already suspected the ending would be something like this but reading it makes it allotmore beautiful.  I hope you continue writting such amazing storys. :D

Poor Sesshoumaru,  I hope  Kagome comes back some how, so that he can find happiness again. It's pretty sad, I almost cried reading the story. I can't wait fo the next chapter. 

Wow, the last few chapters took a really inexpected turn fast.  I can't help but feel terrible for Sess.  It's sad.  It'll be interesting to see where this goes given now that the real Kagome is gone (at least from what I've read).  I hope that he doesn't end up with some kind of reincarnation of her bc to me that would be sad and ironic.

Oh man, poor Sesshoumaru. I hope he finds his lost love and soulmate again, for waiting 500 years should be enough for the Kami to take pity on the honourable demon lord. I almost cried during the past few chapter though my time has been too short to leave my thoughts behind. Hope our hero will be facing happier times. As always, was a joy reading it. I just wish I had time to work on my own story, has been laying dormant for some time.... Take care

poor Sesshomaru. He's always had the hope of seeing her again but now, he knows it's done and he will never see her again. His hope and reason for adapting and living are gone.

Maybe it was a test from the Kami to see how honorable and courageous he'd be and maybe they'd let Kagome come back to him alive? It would suck if they could only be together in the afterlife since Sesshomaru had wanted a "life" with her and not an afterlife.....surely the Kami and the author would not be so cruel!

It truly breaks my heart at how he suffers and I can see why Takashi thought Sesshomaru could move on but Takashi should know that Sesshomaru allowed very very few to actually be close to him. So that would conclude that once Sesshomaru felt something for someone (like Kagome or Rin), it would take something like a hufe betrayl to change those feelings. After all, Sesshomaru did conclude a few times that Kagome was his home and his heart. How can you move on if your heart and home are gone? And to see her and have the chance to stop her death but not doing so - that would destroy anyone. Sesshomaru showed not only his intelligence but his devotion to Kagome because while he could have been selfish, he didn't want her death to be in vain, he wanted it to continue to mean something so her death and his suffering weren't just for nothing.

Makes me want to cry for him.....
