Also, just cause I saw some of the other reviews, I'm really glad they didn't have sex this chapter. Technically since he is not in the position to consent because he's a slave, every time he's been paid to have sex it's rape. So, I'm glad Kagome insisted they didn't. I was starting to feel a bit uncomfortable, so kudos to her!

I like the flow of the story so far. I like the characterizations you've developed. I rarely enjoy AUs this much.

One thing I'd like to suggest, though, is not having such obvious situations be so hard for the main characters to decifer. I understand Sesshomaru is bound to have rather serious trust issues because of how he's been used in the past, but he still seems to be as intelligent as he is in canon. I had a hard time believing that he wouldn't understand Kagome wanting to be let out as a that she didn't buy him.

But, then again with trust issues that large, it's underdstandable. I just felt it took him a bit long to realize, especially since he can smell fear.

Otherwise, your writing is impeccable. I'm waiting anxiously for the next chapter!
