Sesshoumaru Takeshi was one of Japan's hottest agents. Cold, cruel, and sexy, he was the demigod that all the women dreamed about. Then one day everything changed.

"Takeshi,  Captain Inu Taisho wants to see you in his office immediately."

Sesshoumaru rolled his eyes wondering what the captain wanted this time. He got up and grabbed jacket knowing all to well that the captain would throw a fit if Sesshoumaru didn't show up in full uniform. Knocking on the door Sesshoumaru heard a low "enter".

"You wanted to see me?" Sesshoumaru asked bitterly.

"Don't speak to me in that tone of voice Takeshi. I could have your ass fired for speaking to me that way. I have an assignment for you. Since you are one of my better agents, I am sending you with Bankotsu, Renkotsu, and Kouga on an undercover job. Got a problem with that?"

"No. I am just surprised that want to send those three idiots on a job. I work better alone. You should know that by now."Sesshoumaru said as he went to leave the office but was stopped by the captains voice.

"I am not through yet Takeshi. you will need those so called "idiots" with you since you will be working with the maffia.You know all to well that the Onigumo family is one of the most dangerous mafias in Tokyo. Intel has it that something is going down within the next couple of weeks. We need to find out when, where, and what is going down. That is the reason I am sending you undercover. Understood?"

"Yes."

"Good that is all Takeshi. You may leave my sight"

Sesshoumaru left the office with a bitter look on his face. Most of the agents knew that he and the captain didn't get along. The reason for this was because Sesshoumaru had once been married to Inu Taisho's daughter, Rin. Their marraige ended in a bitter divorce and a custody battle over their three year old son, Shippo. Three days later, Rin and Shippo were found murdered in the house that the family had once called home. Inu Taisho blamed Sesshoumaru for their deaths.

Since then, neither one could stand the sight of eachother and barely even talked. Just only when necessary.

By the time that Sesshoumaru had left the office that afternoon for lunch, he was in a really bad mood. Even the other agents noticed that he was acting more bitter than usual.

"Hell, what's lunch anyway? A ham sandwich and a Gatorade, maybe some pretzels time and again." Sesshoumaru said to himself as he finished half a sandwich, "That bastard (referring to Inu Taisho) doesn't know what he's getting himself into."

It was 12:30 when lunch was finally done with. To tell you the truth, Sesshoumaru liked the fact that he was finally gonna be out of the office and away from Inu Taisho. He hated the fact of being cramped up in a tiny, airless cubicle filled with noisy people and no air. He truly needed this undercover job.

"Well, we'll just have to see what comes out of this." Sesshoumaru said with a bitter smile on his face.

It was almost eight by the time Sesshoumaru had gotten out of the office. When he got home he didn't bother eating dinner but headed to the shower. He adjusted the water's temperature to the way he liked it.

"Why is it always me that has to deal with a bunch of morons?" he asked himself, " This is going to be hell for the next two weeks. Then with that asshole......what's the captain's problem anyway? He seriously needs to get off his high horse or I'll be doing that for him. God...I can't stand his ass!"

Sesshoumaru got out of the shower and dried off.. Putting on his boxers, Sesshoumaru picked up the bathroom and brushed out his hair. Afterwards he headed to bed. He was exhausted by the long day but something was making him have trouble sleeping.

"Rin." he muttered before falling asleep.

It was early the next morning that Sesshoumaru awoke. Again, he was not in the greatest of moods but thank god he had off today from the office. This would give him time to fix things up and to get some chores done around the apartment.

"God I really hate this." he muttered as he cleaned " I really need to get myself a full time maid."

Just then the doorbell rang.

"Hold on dammit I'm coming."

"Yes?"

To his utter shock, Sesshoumaru was looking at a woman who was probably in her late 30's or early 40's.

"Mr. Takeshi of 14 B? I'm Yukira Higurashi. I was wondering if this was yours."

The woman held up a small chain with a key on it.

"I was wondering where I dropped my spare key. Thank you for returning it to me."

"You are very welcome. Good day."

She bowed low and left the young man standing dumbfounded on his door step.

Ok peoples! Sorry about the  trashing Rin and Shippo part. I also have to say that Inu Taisho isn't Sesshoumarus father in this fic but his father -in -law. Just so there's no confusion. Also, I am sorry that the first chapter is short.
