For r0o's Love Letters To... challenge!

It’s a just one shot but spans over a few weeks story, thought I would try my hand at r0o’s challenge since it caught my attention when I was roaming the forum.

I know the challenge was meant to show their growing love, but this story didn’t turn out that way, rather then it came out they used the letter to express their feelings for each other. i will likely expand this in the future if i get the time.

Kagome was looking at Sesshomaru wondering how she was going to give him the letter. She knew it was foolish and that he would not return her feeling but she wanted to get it over and done. Inuyasha and the other started to walk away, Kagome waited until they were out of ear shot. “Sesshomaru-Sama” Kagome said softly. Sesshomaru turned and faced the girl. “I…..” Kagome looked at her feet. “Wanted to give you this” Kagome held up the letter. “Please take it” Kagome was about to put it on the ground, when Sesshomaru took the little bit of paper from her small hands. Kagome looked up at the Demon lord in front of her. “I have to leave and catch up to Inuyasha.” Kagome turned and ran away from Sesshomaru the Man she loved and hoped he loved her in return.

Sesshomaru sniffed the letter; he could smell jasmine on the paper. “Why would she give me a letter?

He knew she had some feelings for him and he also felt the same. Sesshomaru just could not show it. He opened the letter.

Dear Sesshomaru-Sama

I don’t know how you will feel about this, since you have tried and killed me in the past. I also know how Inuyasha would feel about this if I were to tell him. I knew from the first time I saw you just before we entered into your father’s tomb.

You are the one for me. I have tried to tell you, but I just couldn’t. I have been scared of these feelings that have been growing ever since. But today I decided to put them into paper since I can’t say them. I pray to the kami that you respond to this letter, Sesshomaru. This has been hard for me put down all my feelings at your feet.

Sesshomaru-Sama.

Sesshomaru stood so still you would think he was living statue. “Kagome I had no idea.” He looked up in the direction she left. “I should I write a letter back?” He turned and left the clearing, his head spinning over the emotion he had suppressed for so long.
