Proloque and Intoduction

First off, I certainly hope that OOC intoductions and whatnot like this are allowed here. If not, please kindly point this out, and I'll revise my ways.

Recently I have come across a good number of stories about our favorite duo being told as 'collections' of oneshots and/or drabbles, and the idea has become intriguing to me. So, I have decided to jump on the band wagon. However, I did want to keep my approach a bit unique, so I threw in a twist.

A while ago - I believe earlier this year - I was stricken quite bored on a trip and decided to try and give myself some inspiration to start writing again. This came in the form of a list of numbered words and phrases. I would then pick (or usually have a friend do so) 5 numbers at random, and then try to write a quick story including the words that were associated with those numbers.

For example: 1, 9, 26, 18, 17.

From the list, the words are: Cookie, Dirty, Protection, Pairing, and Spring.

As mentioned before, I would then write a drabble or oneshot, or whatever I wanted at the moment, that included those words.

So! That's my twist. Each installment of this story will be a Drabble ranging from 100-500 words based on a picking of 5 random numbers. That's where you come in. I would like YOU to pick the numbers for me. Sounds fun, right? I sure think so.

This is how this'll work. You pick 5 (five) numbers at random between 1 and 1111 (yes, that many). Then post a review (or if that is considered review hordering or some similiar notion, I'll create a forum for such or simply have you send me a message) with the numbers. I will then whip up the snippet of story, and post it. However, please note that I will most likely not get more than 2-3 done a week. -smile- Oh and I will use the sets of numbers in the order they are posted. I won't simply pick through them and use only the ones I like.

So you see, you have the ultimate ability to shape the path of this story. Yes, I have a bit of an idea where I want it to go, but that just makes it all the more interesting.

Ah, in case you are wondering - the list of words sits happily on my desk. No, it's not typed up anywhere. No, I don't think I'll be typing it up anywhere anytime soon, either. You'll just have to trust me that it's there. - grin- I might post pics of it someday, though. -shrug-

Oh, and one more thing - I've badgered my poor, defenseless family members into sprouting off random sets of numbers for me, so just in case no one -sniffle- is interested in my little game, I have some choices already set up. Hopefully, I won't have to use too many of them... -hint, hint-
