Kagome sighed as she rubbed the bridge of her nose. As amusing as it was, Kagome wasn't allowed to laugh though. If she did then she'd have to deal with a very embarrassed and slightly angry Mate. That was something she wished to avoid completely.

"What?!?" Rin whined as she saw Kagome's expression. Rin, just like Shippo, Rina, and Tori were very excited when Kagome had told them of the holiday known as Halloween. Each had loved the idea that they were allowed to dress up as whomever they wanted for the night, and get free candy while doing so.

Kagome was trying not to laugh at the children's costumes. They'd known about this event for the past month and had spent several hours with the Taisho's best taylors to make their costumes perfect. Rin was dressed as Midoriko, Shippo as a dwarf from Kagome's fairy tales. Then Rina and Tori were Kagura and Kanna. They were all so cute that Kagome almost wanted to eat her children up.

"It's not you, Rin." Kagome said while trying to hold in her giggles. It was the large, dark, brooding figure behind Rin that was the cause of Kagome's current prediciment. Rin, Tori, Rina, and Kagome had all decided what Sesshomaru would wear for a costume. And now Kagome regreted the choice because she knew she was going to be punished. Sesshomaru's eyes glinted in resentment and betrayal. Shippo and Inuyasha hadn't helped him any when the four girls had ambushed him with the costume. Tonight the palace was hosting a costume ball. It was an idea that had to be explained in detail to the rest of the territory so that people would come.

Kagome had decided that everyone who lived in the palace, or worked in the palace, would wear such a costume on the day of the party. That included poor Sesshomaru.

Glowering at his small mate and daughters Sesshomaru crossed his arms across his broad chest, all of the women were trying to stiffle giggles. Turning his eyes upon his disgustingly green mate, Sesshmaru promised punishment with a low growl. Kagome was dressed as, of all things, a female kapa yokai.

"Kagome, I will not wear this in front everyone." Sesshomaru growled as he started to stalk towards her. Sesshomaru's now black eyebrow lifted in indignance at the amusement coming of Kagome in waves. Just to see how he'd react Kagome reached up and scratched right below the fake ears attached to his black wig.

Sesshomaru's eyes widened just a fraction as he realized what his mate was doing. Growling full on Sesshomaru grabbed her wrist and while applying a decent amount of pressure he growled with fangs bared. "This Sesshomaru will not dress as a cat."

AN:  Hello all!  This was inspired by FaeHime's poll of Sesshomaru costume choices.  I loved the idea of Sesshomaru as a kitty.  Also, just for clarification, unless I say otherwise, Sesshomaru and Kagome are mated in everything I write.  Tori and Rina are twin daughters of Sesshomaru and Kagome, they will only appear in oneshots and drabbles.  There might be another chapter to this, but don't expect too much.  College and a job keeps me pretty busy.

Other than that, please don't hesitate to review and tell me if I mispelled anything or used bad grammar.  I also love reviews of the enjoyment of my stories.  ^_^
