Drip drip drop. Drip drip drop. The simple sound echoed in her head, a thumping beat that set her body on edge. Where was she? A fragment of a memory burned through her mind, eliciting a slight groan from the battered woman. A demon had come, and Inuyasha had tossed her into the well to protect her. Yet she knew she was no longer within the well, for she did not lay upon dirt, but instead stone. Panic welled within her. Where was Inuyasha?

“His demise was inevitable. Such a pity.” A sudden burst of panic stole her breath.

“Naraku!”
