Like a fine wine that has a wondrously aromatic bouquet that leaves you feeling fulfilled, pleasantly surprised and cherished.
Thank you.

One could feel the palpable emotions in the room.

Your prose were wonderful. I love the private moment between Kagome and her father and the revelations there. Your setting, the feel of the day, the moment, all blissfully quiet and fragrant peppered with sadness, and yet understanding and acceptance.
Equally magnificent, what a truly magnificent study of a mind in turmoil. I speak of Sesshoumaru.
Unlike other works pertaining to the dormant and impending love of these two, you allowed both sufficient maturity, or more accurately, you allowed Kagome, the strength of character to answer his question of “why?†without the sometimes unnecessary banter just truth. This is sometimes far more poignant.
What resonates with me as a reader in this wonderful piece is the growth of their intertwined coils of love, though not spoken in the previous chapters, from his sneeze to her burnt tongue, to his gorging on her cookies, the taste of love indeed. There paths are intertwining whether they recognize it or not. We as readers are privileged to watch them falling in love, even sharing the same sleepless moments and mirroring their own internal dialogues attempting to sort out their emotions. The difference between the two being, Kagome is that much more able, or yes, lets say strong to call it what it is. Sesshoumaru, being crushed, is having that much more difficulty with it.
Anyway, enough of my drivel, such a wonderful read, on a pleasingly quiet and rainy Saturday. Thank you. Time for dinner and then polishing off this delectable piece of fiction. Well done…one winged indeed …*chuckle*..not handicapped in the least *wink*.

Are you a chef as well.? Your descriptions of meals and philosophy on cooking feels like it comes from the soul.
I really like this story because it is a unique idea and you are a very good writer. You explain things with just enough detail to keep the story moving forward but not so much it lags. I think what I am trying to say it that you spark the imagination and do not tell us everything to think about a situation or the characters. You credit us with enough intelligence to bring the story to life in our minds and hearts.
I hope you keep the ball rolling with this and will see you soon. I look forward to the next chapter.
Deb.

I love it when the sparks fly between the characters and you are certainly on the mark with these two. The fact that her father was also a great chef gives her that edge she needs to level the playing field with Sesshomaru. It seems that they will be showing each other a thing or two.
You made a comment about Sesshomaru's character in a certain chapter and just let me say that you shouldn't worry about things like that. If the story is good the people will read.
The really good stories come from the spirit and the heart. You have imagination and originality going for you plus some really good reviews. People who criticize your characters need to write their own stories and just let yours unfold and enjoy. Suggestions are good but if you let someone change your style or ideas then it becomes their story and I like yours much better.
Good Job.

Plus, I love the way Rin and Shippou are incorporated. Too much kneading and even the most well-chilled butter can turn into dough too heavy to digest. Nice and light makes my day! La-la la!!
Ignore my babbling, it isn't worth a whit, but just know that there's one more reader out there who checks ASS every day to see your fic!

i have never heard of anything likeit. i mean, in the food world, yes, but nothing where kagome was a critic and sesshoumaru a chef.
