Aw. Who rated you so low? It's really not a bad story. In fact, I'd say it has lots of potential -- though you do have some spelling errors. It should be pair, instead of pare. (Then again, that could just be a slip of the fingers. I do it all the time.) Your grammar is good, could use a bit of tweaking but you've definitely got a good sense of how it works. You probably could benefit from a beta. IAnyway, nobody's 100% perfect when it comes to grammar and spelling, and really, these are just little nitpicks anyway.

Overall, I think it's a great story and you should continue with it. I do hope the low ratings don't discourage you, because you do having something here.
