My Side of the Story by Shizuko

Chapter 1

(Well, can't say I have the ability to make these things work, or that I'm the best at it, but I'm going to do this from Kagome's point of view. I just forewarn you all, I have tried! ^^')

Chapter 1

I'm not crazy, it was all true, but they won't believe me. No, they have to, I swear it happened! I'm not a psycho in need of a doctor; I'm in need of a listener. Someone who will understand me, please come and listen to my story! Don't leave me, don't let them tell you differently, it was all true, and I wish I could prove it somehow, but all I have are memories, and a tale to tell.

The doctors say I'm delusional, but they have no idea. Tests always came back negative, but I'm story always was true, and yet they couldn't see that. What was wrong with them? Were they blind? Had they no idea that what I told them was even in the present world they lived in? Maybe I am a lost cause, maybe I have no clue, but what if I'm not? What if I am right and all I say is true!? What if it all wasn't a dream, but more reality than reality could get!? I don't know, but no matter what, the story will be told, and they will understand me soon enough.

The doctors have come back, talking to me as if I were some idiot that didn't understand English. I did perfectly well with it, and in fact, I aced most of my tests from kindergarten all the way up until high school. Yeah, that's when it all started, the meetings with the people I will soon have to talk about to the morons that sit now in front of me. They think I'm lying, that I have no real memories of these people, that it was my entire overactive imaginations fault. They're wrong! They have no idea what I went through, what danger they put themselves in when they are merely sitting here arguing with me that there are no such things as demons and time travel. No, that wasn't true either, at least it wasn't up until two years ago, when I was forced into the well and it was sealed behind me. Part of the object we had been searching for still is with me, and yet when I showed this to them, they thought it was just some broken family jewel that I was overreacting about because it had been damaged.

"Mrs. Higurashi, we meet again," a white lab coated man stated to me. His eyes were icy and held no regretful-ness of his actions and accusations. No, instead, he seemed to laugh through them, the amber color searing into my chocolate brown eyes. I always slink away from him a bit when he looks at me like that. "Shall we continue with the usual torture, trust me, more mine than yours." He smirked, his white teeth gleaming through partially parted lips. He was in a disgusting way handsome, and just my thoughts on that made me want to puke.

"Hi," I spoke grim and daring, knowing that he would once again come to laugh at my story as I tell it to him again for the thousandth time. Why they just didn't do it twice was beyond me. Why was I eve here? I had committed no crimes; I didn't need to prove anything to them. I had been picked up one day, people telling me I was crazy since I had told everyone that demons lived among us. But they all laughed, and mothers with their children scowled, holding their tiny hands tight and yanking them away when I told the kids about my story. They seemed to enjoy it, and also understand, but no one else did. From then on, they dubbed me a demon; one trying to possess little kids minds and making them become my slave. I had rolled my eyes and continued on with my life, till they brought me here that is.

The man stared at me, his harsh eyes boring into my own as I seemed to drift in and out of my thoughts. Finally I stuck with reality and spoke up, "What are you staring at pin head?" I had never many things like that to others, just this one man. His long black hair was pulled back into a high pony tail, and his hands were long and slender, and it was obvious he didn't believe in using clippers or nail file for his nails were longer than mine. I shook my head and leaned back. "Well, I guess I better tell my story once more and I need to get ready to listen to you say something about me being a psychopath once more eh? You know what don't even answer that."

He laughed that hideous laugh and smiled the devilish smile of his. I growled and crossed my arms, turning my head away towards what looked like a mirror but was really a very well tinted window. "Hm, well, I'm listening anyways," he said, laying down the pen he had been holding and began to tap his nail on the table. I sighed and looked back at him. His smile lessening as he pushed the notepad and pen aside and crossing his fingers together, leaning in to whisper to me. "Look, no papers, no pens, pretend no one is on the other side of the window, and tell me the story. This time, I'm listening." He smirked and watched me carefully, making me think I was a complete idiot is what he was doing, and it worked well.

I nodded my head and looked into his eyes. "Alright, about four years ago, I was heading for school, when my cat got out..."
