"Goodbye okaasan!" I waved to my mother as I dashed out the door. *Great! I'm late again. Sensei Naraku is sooo not going to be happy! Wait, what am I talking about? He's never happy!*

"Kagome! Matte kudasai! Are you sure you have your lunch money?" My mother hollered after me.

"Hai! Sayonara!"

::RING RING::

*Damn! I'm late again! Omigoshomigoshomigosh!* I skid into the classroom...20 min late. ::sigh::

"Higurashi! This is the 5th time in 2 weeks. If you want to fail this class, continue as you are doing and you will, no doubt, get your wish. Take your seat and make sure you don't do it again or I will see to it personally." Sensei Naraku said coldly.

"Hai." I answered weakly. I looked up; everyone was sniggering behind their hands to their neighbors. ::blush:: *How can someone as attractive as professor Naraku be such a jackass?* I caught Sango's eye and rushed up to where she was sitting. "Sorry I'm late... again. Did I miss anything?" I whispered, as I was taking out my books.

"Nothing really except we're having a pop quiz. Omigosh! There's a new student! He's kinda cute." ::nudge nudge::

"Really?" She so had my attention. I've been needing a boyfriend forever!

"See for yourself! He's over there!" Sango whispered, and pointed to the corner opposite of where we were sitting.

"Wow, he is cute! Did you catch his name?" *Finally we have a worthy hottie at our school! Hmm.... Not bad. Oh shit! What the hell! He's looking at me?* ::blush::

"I dunno. You know Naraku sensei. 'Sit anywhere and don't talk' God! He's so dumb and.."

"If you want to interrupt me, feel free to stay after school to do so. But in the meanwhile, I suggest you stop your gossiping and pay attention." I could tell Naraku sensei was getting aggravated, but what else is new?

"Gomen." Sango said that the same time as me. For the rest of class (10 min) we sat quietly and took notes.

~ Inuyasha

*A new school.... Again. I don't get why we have to keep moving! Arrg! Kikyou, I miss you. I'm so pathetic ::chuckle:: not even a week apart and I'm already feeling like there's a hole in my heart.* I checked the slip of paper my parents wrote the school address on. *So this is it huh? Not much, that's for sure!*

"OY! Where's the administrative building?" I asked.

"Um, over there. Go straight down the hall and to your left. Miroku." The kid extended his arm. I stared at it.

"Inuyasha." I shook his hand and turned to leave.

"Matte yo! I'll go with you!" He quickened his pace and walked beside me.

"I don't need you to baby-sit me alright?" This guy was starting to bug me. But no matter how fast I went or however much I slowed down, he did exactly as I did.

"Look I don't care about following you around. I just wanna get out of class! Okai? Now just act like I'm helping you."

::grumbling:: *Where does this guy get off telling me what to do like that? Keh! I should just drop kick him!*

"You have the same home room as me! Cool!" ::rolling eyes:: *Oh great, now I have classes with this dude? Gosh, might as well make friends.* "See that girl over there? I'm gonna make her my girlfriend by the end of this semester." He pointed at a girl sitting alone near the top of the classroom, across from where we were sitting.

::RING RING::

"SETTLE DOWN! Today we will cover chapters 11-14. Pop quiz this week. Get out your books and read the four chapters. Quietly!" *This Naraku needs some major dosages of Prozac!*

Then a girl comes sliding in and apologizes the sensei.

"That's Kagome." *Kagome? Hmm.. Sounds familiar...*

"She's best friends with the goddess, Sango." Miroku's eyes glazed over and he started to drool. *Hentai freak!*

As I sat there listening to Mr. I-have-a-wedgie-up-my-ass-so-don't-bug-me, I kept thinking *Where have I heard the name Kagome before?* and subconsciously I looked over at her. I saw that she was looking at me too. *Why is it that I am reminded of Kikyou when I see this girl?*
