Unmei

A pale, slender, hand brushed the chilled surface of the pond, causing gentle ripples. Light blue eyes gazed with longing at the full moon that reflected in the clear water. It was a long time since she realized that he would never love her, so many times she had blind folded her eyes to his obvious love of her look alike. When was it that she suddenly lost hope of even the smallest joys, no smile appeared on her face when the young Kitsune did his fox fire, no foolish grin played her features when the Tai-jiya viciously assaulted the Monk for his lecherous ways. A hollow laugh escaped her mouth, as her wet finger tips clutched at the completed Shikon Jewel; its pink glow eliminated her grim face. Memories of the fight flashed through her mind, of the Hanyou's betrayal to the woman that was dead among the living, of his sad look as he looked back at the younger Miko, the look that told her all she needed to know, that he would indeed never love her the way she so very loved him.

The curse to her life rolled from her hands, falling to the waiting grass, it glinted against the blue liquid, almost as though it took pleasure from the pain that flooded her mind and body. She began to rock her self back and forth, softly singing a song that struck her as appropriate.

With a long heavy sigh she fell asleep, a Bijin to be seen.

He snarled his normally amber orbs blazed with emotions, glaring at the peaceful Miko as she slept. Though the glare, as hard as he did try, was not full of loath, but his way of showing that he was indeed saddened by her sorrow.

With each growing minute he found that the emotions he had had a control over was now spilling out into his mind and heart so rapidly that even he, prince of the western lands, could not fight against it and win. She did that to him, the wench that Inuyasha had discarded, the wench that was forever ruining his plans in killing his Baka half breed of a brother, whom owned the one thing that he so wanted, the Tetsusaiga. But now his want on Tetsusaiga wavered as Kagome stepped into the picture, blocking all abilities to concentrate on his main goal.

Another growl erupted from his throat, he inched a little closer to the slumbering ningen, even if this was not needed, being that he was a Youkai, he felt that this was the only way to actually see her with out her putting on a mask. Unsure of what to do, he sat and observed the way her hair fell into her beautiful face, and how she smiled when he brushes those runaway stands from that beautiful face, how her breath just barely touched his fingers, when she had mumbled his name. No matter what he tried to tell himself, there was no way around it, he was in love with the enchanting woman... named Kagome.

"Unmei." Sesshoumaru mumbled, he laid down beside his love, wrapping his tail and arms around her.
