Kagome's POV

For as long as I remember, I've hated the snow. Perhaps it was because of two snowstorms that ruined my family. In one snowstorm, my grandmother was sweeping the ground of our Shinto shrine. She caught the cold and died that night. The next day, the snowstorm continued and she was buried in the snow. I was just five, but the image of my grandfather's tears frozen upon his cheeks as he looked upon the grave stayed with me forever. In the other snowstorm, my dad slapped my mom and then he stormed out the door. I heard my mom's sobs mixed with his footsteps in the snow. I watched his retreating figure waver in the snow. He left when I was seven and I never saw him again or heard his voice again.

Tonight, there was another snowstorm. There's a legend that I recall whenever there's a snowstorm, the legend of the snow angel. It was said that the snow angel could grant one wish made out of love. If two people loved each other enough, then they would be able to find the snow angel and get their wish. It was also said that snow is the tears of the angel and snowstorms are the rage of the angel. It would snow whenever one lover hurt the other and a snowstorm would happen whenever love is destroyed. The wind howled and I wonder if somewhere, someone's heart shattered like ice and blown away by the wind.

RING! RING! I picked up the phone and it was Sango, my best friend.

"Kagome! You have to come over and help, please! Kohaku didn't come back from school. At first I didn't worry, but I've already searched for him for hours. I don't if anything has happened to him," Sango cried over the phone.

"Hold on, give me five minutes and I'll be there! Did you call Miroku yet? He can help us," I told Sango. I hanged up, grabbed my coat, and rushed out of the house. I hoped fervently that Sango's brother, Kohaku, would be ok.

I never saw the car coming.

Hi! This is a new idea that I have. I'm not sure if I should continue it. Please R&R and if you have any good ideas, send them to me. Thank you.
