Prologue

(A/N- This story ideal was actually from a Korean music video that is from an actually movie. Its about the last empress of Korea. Queen Min. The tale and video are both quiet sad. But this tale is of her bravery and power to not give up and let her people suffer what they shouldn't. The setting is not going to take place in Korea as it should but its going to take place in Japan.

Disclaimer: I don't own the Inu-yasha Character's....I'm sad....oh well...I don't own the historical background I got this from either....that would be hard to own....)

The Last Empress - Prologue

The cry of a new born child broke through the air in a town located on the island of Japan. Cries of joy were spread out through the town knowing that the Higurashi Clan has just received a new born into the world. Celebrations were held out of joy for the new child. Everyone was found at the steps of the small manor of which housed the Higurashi. Each of them wanting to congratulate them and wish their child luck in the world.

Lord Higurashi stood ontop of the steps holding a bundle in his arms. He slowly moved the blanket away from the child's face only to find himself looking into deep sapphire colored eyes. He smiled at his child lovingly before showing the babe to the people of the town.

"This is my new born, my perfect child," he said smiling at everyone, "My daughter Higurashi Kagome."

Everyone around erupted in cheers and applause. They were happy for their lord and lady's joyous day. The day where their first child was conceived. But no one new the poor fate the girl would have bestowed upon her. No one new what destiny had instore for her.

(Sorry for it being so short right now...but my mind is drawing a blank on how to go further on this day. So my next chapter will be longer then this for sure. I hope you will want to actually read more of this story cause I like to make people happy and if its by my story then I'll be grateful.)
