“LOVE ON A MOONLIT NIGHT†by Toreishii-Chan
Sesshoumaru Rescues a Heartbroken Kagome
KAGOME! . . . . WAIT!
InuYasha yelled at her as she ran from the scene that she just witnessed. But Kagome ran as fast and as far away as her legs could let her. She ran though the forest until she came to a moon lit clearing and stopped. She fell to her knees and sobbed while whispering to herself, "InuYasha, why?" "How could you?" "I thought that you no longer loved Kikyo."
But little did Kagome know that she was being watched by someone safely hidden in the shadows of the trees. "She looks so angelic and beautiful," he thought as he watched her cry while the moonlight shown on her. This mysterious shadow jumped from the trees to the ground, "What has that baka half brother of mine done to you, Kagome?" said a velvety sounding voice. Kagome jumped up from her kneeling position and turned around and saw Sesshoumaru standing just a few feet from her.
"Sesshoumaru-sama," Kagome whispered, but just enough that his youkai ears could hear and ran to him and wrapped her arms around his waist and cried into his kimono.
Sesshoumaru was not one for showing affection, but showing much concern for Kagome, he returned the affection wrapping his arms around her waist holding her tight. He kissed her forehead and nuzzled his nose in her hair breathing in her scent. She smelt heavenly to him. The sent of Jasmine was very intoxicating and it made him want her. He had a love for Kagome ever since he saw her, her image had never left his mind. Very gently, his clawed hand, cupped her chin to raise her head so that her eyes met his. Her eyes were red from crying, but Sesshoumaru did not mind that. He loved to look into her beautiful brown eyes. These eyes that showed so much joy, happiness, and compassion now showed only sorrow and a feeling of loneliness. Kagome looked back into Sesshoumaru's golden eyes and felt a sense of warmth, concern, and wanting.
"What has InuYasha done to make you cry, Kagome-chan?" he asked his question again.
Kagome looked down at the ground and gave a deep sigh. "I saw him with Kikyo," she said. "He was making love to her." "That baka!" Kagome began crying again.
"Naku na, Kagome-chan. Please?" Sesshoumaru asked as he wiped the tears away.
"Gomen nasai, Sesshoumaru-sama," Kagome said looking back up into his beautiful golden orbs. A smile came to her lips, "I will for you."
Sesshoumaru asked Kagome if there was anything that he could do for her,
"Hai," she answered back. "I do not want to go back to the village and face InuYasha." "May I go with you back to your castle?"
Sesshoumaru nodded, "As you wish Kagome." "Besides, I think Rin will be happy to have another female companion for company."
Kagome could hardly contain her happiness. She wrapped her arms around his neck, kissed him on the cheek, and whispered "Arigato gozaimasu, Sesshoumaru-sama," in his ear.
Sesshoumaru was somewhat shocked by these human affections of Kagome's. Wrapping her arms around his neck, kissing him on the cheek, but the thing
that made him excited was when she whispered in his ear.
Before Kagome realized it, Sesshoumaru swept her up into his arms and up into the sky as they went on his cloud toward his castle. Kagome felt so warm being held so close to Sesshoumaru, that sleep over took her. Sesshoumaru gazed down at the miko like woman child as she slept. His heart felt like it leapt for joy and he never had a feeling like that before. She looked so peaceful and beautiful that he could not resist to give her another kiss on her forehead and whispered, "I love you Kagome-chan, How I wish you were my mate." "I would never treat you like that baka half brother of mine."
Even though Kagome was sleeping she did hear his words and felt her heart melt. "He loves me and he wants me to be his mate!?!" These words ran though her head as she kept her eyes closed then she heard a low growl and thought Sesshoumaru must be thinking about InuYasha and what he had done to her. "He will pay for this!", he thought to himself. "He will never hurt Kagome ever again." "I will make sure of it."
