The moon was full and beautiful as it hung proudly in the night sky. The area surrounding the bone-eaters well was surrounded in its soft blue glow. The soft silence was broken by numerous grunts as a lone figure hauled an over stuffed and worn yellow backpack over the lip of the old well. As Kagome was pulling herself over the well a pair of glittering ocean blue eyes stared intently at her form. 'Hai, she is the one I was looking for.' The mysterious creature thought. Kagome gave a sigh of relief as she pulled herself over the lip of the well completely, resting on the old wood.

"Phew, I'm glad that's done, I wonder where Inuyasha is, normally he's here to help me out of the well." Kagome said aloud, concern evident in her voice. "I'm sure he's back at Keade-chans eating himself sick." She said with a giggle. Looking up at the star splashed sky she thought 'wow what a beautiful night, I think I'm just gonna stay here and look at the stars.' So getting up off the lip of the well Kagome walked over to a spot where she had a clear view of the shining luminescent moon. She laid down in the softly swaying lush green grass and stared at the stars. A gentle breeze blew softly passed her, touching her face and legs with its gentle caress. But along with the gentle whisper of the breeze Kagome felt another presence, that of a youkai. She quickly got to her feet and started to slowly jog back to the village, feeling the presence quickly closing in on her.

'She cannot get away, I cannot allow that.' Thought the shimmering silver wolf. Picking up speed Kagome broke into a run. Looking behind her she only caught a glimpse of silver and blue. Running faster Kagome thought

'Please just let it leave me alone, please, oh please kam-. Her thoughts were cut short as the wolf bit into her shoulder harshly. Her scream pierced the night air as the creatures fangs dug deeper into the soft flesh of her shoulder. Kagome dropped to her knees, then to her stomach with the wolf still on her back. She felt a warm liquid enter her body before the wolf slowly and gently pulled its sharp fangs from her injured shoulder. Loosing conscience ness quickly Kagome looked up into the warm blue depths of the demon that hurt her. What she saw took her breath away. There in front of her was a young man with short messy black hair and piercing blue eyes, he was pale and wearing jeans and a white shirt with a black leather jacket covering it. The only proof that he was the demon that bit her was the dab of blood dribbling down his chin. Slowly turning around he said

"You were chosen by us, there is no escaping this fate, you are now both blessed and cursed." With that he ran, disappearing into the dark cover of the trees. His last words echoed in her mind 'You were chosen by us, there is no escaping this fate, you are now both blessed and cursed.' Then she fell into darkness.
