My Letter To You

I've always wanted to make you proud,

But you always covered my sun with and ungrateful cloud.

I wanted you to see me as a shining star,

But every negative word you said left me with an ugly scar.

You were blind to my ambition

and unaware of my fatal condition.

I'm dying inside because of you.

I'm losing my mind; splitting in two,

Crying myself to sleep, thinking it's true;

I was never ever good enough for you.

You were always too busy for me,

I was never important enough to see.

I'd get excited about you coming to town,

But then you'd never come around.

Was it something that I did wrong?

No?

Why, then, haven't I seen you in so long?

Crying myself to sleep, thinking it's true;

I was never ever good enough for you.

I think that it's time to say

That i no longer feel that way:

Lost and alone with no one to care.

I finally found someone who will always be there.

Even if my time with him is not long,

I'll know that loving him was never wrong.

All those years of feeling inadequate,

I can just forget,

And believe that this love is true.

All this I owe to you.
