Chapter One: Her Touch

Miku: Hello, everyone! I'm a new author.. Hopefully you guys will like this story!! So I shall not keep you guys waiting, onto the story!

Summary: Sesshomaru has had it. He's been following her for some quiet time. His thoughts always drifted to her. He captures his half brothers wench hoping to rid his thoughts on her. But an unknown emotion rises as he spends time with the human girl.

Chapter One: Her Touch

Two weeks. Two weeks, he has been following his half brothers little group. The raven haired miko has been on his mind lately... It infuriates him that a girl, a human girl, has been on his thoughts.

Her short kimono and the weird technology she pulls out of her yellow bag spikes curiosity out of him. But, what he really was confused about was on that fateful day he had gotten injured.

Flashback:

A snake youkai hissed at Sesshomaru, his red eyes gleaming with malice.

"Jaken, take Rin with you and get away from here." Sesshomaru commanded, and drew Tokijin.

"Y-Yes Milord." Jaken stammered, fear etched in his face. He grabbed the young girl's hand and ran out of the TaiYoukai's sight.

"Jaken, do you think Sesshomaru will be fine?" Rin asked following the toad.

"Of course. Lord Sesshomaru have never been defeated. He is a strong Inu youkai." Jaken replied, and ran faster as he heard the snake youkai hiss in anger.

(Back to where Sesshomaru is at)

"You will pay for crossing this Sesshomaru's path." Sesshomaru threatened.

The snake youkai hissed, and lunged at the Taiyoukai. But he only struck the ground as Sesshomaru jumped away from his attack.

Sesshomaru was surprised at the snakes agility. But he was no challenge. He pointed Tokijin at the snake, the pressure of the sword coming out in waves. It hit the snake, but no damage appeared. The snakes skin was tough.

The snake youkai took the chance to strike him after the attack, its fangs digging into Sesshomaru's shoulder. Sesshomaru growled and red seeped into his eyes.

"This Sesshomaru will not be killed by some mindless snake." Sesshomaru growled and swung the Tokijin, its blade cutting through the snakes head, beheading it. With a snarl, Sesshomaru yanked the snake's head from his shoulder, sending a searing pain through his body. Blood dripped from his shoulder, as he walked toward a stream that he smelled nearby.

His vision was slightly blurry when he had arrived near the stream. 'That beast injected some poison in me when it bit me.' Sesshomaru thought in anger as he took off his white haiori that was now soiled with his blood. He inspected the wound and moved to a nearby tree. He sat down leaned into the tree trunk. The poison was affecting him, and soon the blackness engulfed him.

He woke, the pain from earlier gone. He looked at his wound to find it patched up and wrapped in some kind of material. 'Who did this?' he thought, confused.

"Oh good, you are awake." a familiar female voice interrupted his thoughts.

He turned to the voice. The girl was holding some kind of bowl and was walking to him. He growled. "You're Inuyasha's bitch. What are you doing here?" Sesshomaru glared at the miko.

"I-I found you here wounded and I patched you up." Kagome stuttered and took a stepped back.

Sesshomaru was pleased as he felt the waves of fear coming from the miko. "Where's the hanyou and the humans?"

"There not here." Kagome continued to come to him, ignoring his growl. "Here. I don't think you eat human food, but you need to eat and get your strength back." Kagome whispered and held out the bowl.

Sesshomaru glared at the girl, and turned his head. "You are right, this Sesshomaru does not eat human food. Leave, girl. I am fine. I don't need your help." he hissed.

"Please...Take it..." Kagome whispered and bowed her head.

Sesshomaru did not move, but his eyes drifted to the human before him. The food was odd. He has never seen it before. Sadness was coming from the girl. Sesshomaru didn't know what to do, so he took the cup.

The girl's head bolted up and she flashed him a smile.

Sesshomaru ignored her and picked at the noodles with his chopsticks. He took a small bite and swallowed. It wasn't as bad as he thought. "Tell me, miko.. Why are you doing this?"

Kagome remained quiet. "You human ward. Rin. She wouldn't be well if her "father" died, ne? And we might need you as an ally when the battle with Naraku begins."

Sesshomaru nodded, as he ate the noodles.

"Lord Sesshomaru, I need to change your bandages. Do you mind?" Kagome asked, as she reached for her first aid kit.

"Go ahead."

Kagome nodded and unwrapped the bandage from his shoulder. She was please to find the wound has been sealed. She re-wrapped his shoulder carefully.

Sesshomaru watched the girl with interest. Her scent of vanilla and strawberries assaulted his nose. Her scent was pleasing and was quiet rare for a human. He growled as he thought of this. 'I will not turn into my father.'

Kagome finished and backed away from him as she heard him growl. He shoved the empty ramen cup at her. He slowly stood up and looked at her.

"This Sesshomaru is in your dept Kagome. But now, I must leave." Sesshomaru said and walked away from the girls sight.

Kagome smiled. "He called me by my name.. Maybe he isn't that bad?" she whispered to himself.
