Chapter One

This is my first Sess/Kag fic, so please no flames.

Kagome sat on her windowsill thinking about the days in the feudal era and how they were now over. True she didn't want to leave but what reason did she have to stay. Inu Yasha had chosen to be with the walking corpse and she could do nothing to change his mind. Kikyo was after all his first love. And after the years he had been pinned to the old tree (all because of Kikyo, remind you) and the years spent looking for the shards, he still loved her. It's a wonder why, when she after all she tried to turn him into what he wasn't. So I ask you, why go with the one that tried to change you? Instead on the one who accepted you for who you are? Confusing, but that's how it went. That's why Kagome left.

She did have her friends, but she had friends in her time as well. She also had her family, and even after all that had happened she couldn't leave them behind. So she chose to leave and never return, like it was even possible to return now anyway.

As she sat on her windowsill she thought of the coming days. She'd be returning to school and seeing the friends she once knew so well. But how much has she missed out on? After all Kagome had been gone for about two years and believe me a lot can happen in two years. Were her friends still the same? Would they still be her friends? Kagome's thoughts wondered back and forth to present and past. Remembering all she had missed out on and the changes that had happened to her.

Changes you might be wondering. Well of course there are changes to Kagome what kind of story would this be if there weren't any?

Kagome had matured and became stronger in her time in the past. She had become stronger not just physically but mentally as well. She was and is able to take on the strongest foe and win. One certain foe or ex foe she was able to beat was the infamous hanyou, Naraku. It was her arrow that rid the world of his presence. No thanks to the one person she had truly loved. But she couldn't stay mad at him, even if she tried.

Before leaving the feudal era she did something she would have never thought she'd do. And that was willingly go with the powerful inu youkai, Lord of the Western lands, Sesshoumaru himself.

Sesshoumaru had taken a liking to her. For a ningen she had proven herself to be a strong one of her kind. Getting Sesshoumaru thinking about how he saw the world of ningens. The two became friends. And to others it seemed like something even more. But the time with Sesshoumaru didn't last very long. For Kagome had to go home. I'm not saying it was a waste. Cause the time with Sesshoumaru Kagome learned more of her Miko powers. He taught her control, not just of her powers, but of her self as well. During the time the two spent training together, you could say she melted the powerful inu youkai's frozen heart.

Okay well this is it. Its not much yet, but I still haven't gotten the time to fully write a complete chapter. So please bear with me.
