It was as simple as that. That one momeny that had caused so much happiness but so much greif. Naraku had been defeated and with that the Shikon made whole. It was in that moment that Inuyasha's group saw the last of Kagome as she faded away into her own era. That moment ended the quest to gather the shards and defeat Naraku, but planted the seeds for an even more dangerous and deadly quest.
