Crystals by Silent Poet

Chapter 1

It was a beautiful, sunny day in Feudal Japan; the Sun was shining brightly upon the villagers who worked on finishing their chores. Children were swimming in the river, splashing water on eachother as the older ones watched over them. The InuYasha gang was taking a break from traveling since Kagome came back with Souta. She explained to her friends that their Mom, and Grandpa had to go to Tyoko for some business, and would rather have Souta with her then there. InuYasha didn't complain; Souta, and him became like brothers, and sometimes played together when he was in the future. Shippo, and Souta were eating fresh picked watermelon underneath a shaded tree, talking about random things. Kagome, Sango, Miroku, and InuYasha were chatting about their next plan for destroying Naraku.

InuYasha sniffed the air a few times, and stood up, drawing Tensusaiga.

"What is it Inuyasha?" asked the perverted monk.

"Sesshomaru," answered the half demon. Just then Sesshomaru came out from the shadows of the trees, with Rin by his side, smiling. Sesshomaru had his usual emotionless face, cold golden eyes staring at his younger brother.

"I'm not here to fight brother," he spoke, his voice like ice.

"Then what?" said InuYasha, glaring at his brother. What could be important for Sesshomaru not to try, and take Tensusaiga away from me? thought the half-human.

"It's about the Crystals," stated the dog demon. InuYasha's eyes soften, and put his weapon back in its shealth. Souta couldn't help, but stop talking, and turned his head towards the tall demon, eavesdropping.

"What about them?"

"Father's last words are coming true. Rin, go play with the kit, and his friend." Rin nodded her head, and ran off to play. The brothers sat down, the adults/teenagers making a circle, sitting from across each other with Miroku to Sesshomaru's right, and Kagome to his left. Sango was between InuYasha, and Kagome. "Do you remember his words?"

"Yeah. When the Moon turns blood red with the sky filled with screams, you'll have a vision my sons in your dreams. The path to the Crystals is far, and wide, but soon Time will go by."

"That's strange. The night InuYasha went with Kagome to her time is when the Moon became blood red," informed Miroku, crossing his arms over his chest. Sango nodded her head.

"You had to have a keen sense of hearing to hear those screams, but they were so loud it was as if they were right next to you," added Sango.

"What does it mean?" asked Kagome, looking at Sesshomaru.

"It means InuYasha, and me will have visions of where the Crystals are. They're powerful orbs containing a certain element, and can only be used by the users known has a Spellcaster. The ones Father told me were Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Light, Darkness, Thunder, and Non-Element. Although there's more, but he didn't say," explained the silver hair demon. His brother stood up.

"It's gonna rain, better get inside before it does. I'll grab the kids," he said, putting his hands behind his head, and whistling.
