Chapter One

D.A.: hey I'm Devils Angel. This is my first story, if you want, you can flame.

I don't own anyone or anything in this story, so please do not sue. I don't have that kind of money...or even a lawer.

Darkness. That's all she could see. Her body was numb from pain. She could hear someone trying to reach out to her, calling her name.

Kagome awoke in a rush. She was breathing deeply, trying to calm her rushing heart. She looked around the camp to see if anyone had woken up, but no one had. Once she had calmed down she looked up in the tree above her only to find her hanyou friend missing. She knew exactly where he was, he was off with his new mate. Yes mate. He thought she didn't know about him and Kikyo, he tried to keep it a secret, but the whole group knew hell even his brother knew. She had a few secrets she had been hiding from him and the others. The only people who knew were her family, and Shippo. She sighed deeply then slowly drifted back to sleep.

"Wake up it's time to get going, we already spent to much time here we could already be going if it were not for your weak human bodies!" yelled Inuyasha as he walked around put small objects away.

Slowly the rest of the gang woke up only to see Kikyo falling Inuyasha, they were all confused, or at least pretended they were.

"Inuyasha, why is Kikyo here?" asked Shippo moving closer to Kagome without Inuyasha noticing his small movements to get away from the two people who smelled of dirt, death, and lust.

Inuyasha glared at Shippo, making him jump into Kagome's awaiting arms. "She's here because somebody can't do there job right in sensing the jewel shards that they broke" he said switching his glare to Kagome.

Kagome just kept quiet not wanting to anger the hanyou anymore than he already was last time she did the group walked hours on end. She helped Sango and Miroku fished packing the camp. Once they were done the set off for a long day of walking.

Later that day, when they were making camp, they were thinking about how harder it was to find the jewel shards.

"Hey Sango, do you think I could borrow Kirara, so she can take me home?" whispered Kagome. Sango just nodded and Kirara jumped off her shoulder.

Kirara and Kagome walked out of camp without Inuyasha noticing them, he was to busy making out with Kikyo. Sango and Miroku were talking while they were cooking dinner, but she didn't see Shippo anywhere. Thinking he was out looking for wood, she and Kirara took off through the sky. Unknown to them they were being fallowed.
