Chapter one

/Kagome's p.o.v/

'It's been three years since I first started traveling to the feudal era. I've gotten over my child hood crush on Inuyasha and now see him as a brother. Koga finally realized I didn't love him and moved on. He's now mated to Ayame. Naraku was defeated a year ago and Sango and Miroku finally got over their issues and married six months ago and we found out Naraku was lying when he said Kohaku would die if the shard was removed from his back. He and Sango are now rebuilding their old village and training new slayers. Kikyo no harbors ill feelings toward me after the demon cave and were now friends, She's even teaching me how to control my miko powers that she said had surpassed even hers. Inuyasha's still to stupid to admit his feelings toward her and if he doesn't soon she's going to beat it out of him. She even joined our group along with Koga, Ayame and get this Sesshomaru! Yeah we were all surprise when he asked to join our group a couple of years ago. He's stayed with us collecting the jewel shards ever since even when Naraku had died. We all found out that he wasn't as heartless as he seemed. A couple of years ago shippo even asked if I could be his mother. Of course I said yes. Now that you know the past let me take you into the present.

Ivory hands gripped the side as the futuristic girl climbed out of the bone eaters well. Instead of a gruff hanyou there to greet her it was a girl a little older than herself with the same face except for the eyes. Where the older girl had brown warm eyes she herself had fiery blue eyes that matched her sharp temper and kind nature.

"Hey Kikyo, has Inuyasha been giving you a hard time?"

"That idiot! We were together before I had died and I know he still loves me but he won't admit it! Kagome if the sit command didn't work for me too I'd go insane!"

"That's are favorite hanyou."

"I still wish he wasn't so arrogant." Grumbled kikyo "Oh well I still love him nothing can change that."

"Yeah. Lets just hope he realizes that before it's too late."

"Momma! Kikyo! Inuyasha is picking on me again!" Cried an orange ball of fluff named Shippo. Kikyo and Kagome exchanged a look before screaming sit as loud as they could and smiled when they heard a familiar thump.

"Dog-turd will never learn will he" said the familiar voice of Koga from behind them.

"My idiot half-brother isn't capable of learning." Replied Sesshomaru.

Neither of the girls knew they were their so they both screamed when they heard them.

" You claim to be powerful mikos yet you can't even sense two youkai behind you. Pathetic." Came Sesshomaru's amused reply along with a smirk.

"Sorry to disappoint you Fluffy but we can only sense powerful youkai." Kagome bit back. She walked away ignoring the growl coming from behind her, until the person who growled pined her to a tree.

"What's that wench!" he growled

"Jeez can't you even take a joke! Man your so boring!" she leaned closer to his sensitive ear and shouted "Get a life already Fluffy!"

Sesshomaru growled one last time before dropping her and walking away.

When Kagome turned around she saw Koga and Kikyo laughing silently before Koga turned around and said "Don't worry 'Gome I know you didn't mean it. You were just mad at Sesshomaru. But why call him fluffy?"

"Because of that fluffy Boa on his shoulder, why?

Suddenly Koga burst out laughing and said "Kagome that ain't no boa it's his tail!"

"Wait seriously! He's been traveling with us for two years how did I not know that!"

"I don't know Kagome I realized that right away," added Kikyo

"Oh shut up!"

/Sesshomaru's p.o.v/

It was unbearable he could hear their laughter over his new name and it sickened him that he was bested by a mere human miko no matter how beautiful she may be. Yes Sesshomaru long ago admitted that he was attracted to Kagome and she was one of the reasons he joined their group, and the only reason he stayed now. He just wished she could see that, but if she knew then she had a chance to hurt him by rejection. It completely sucked. To make matters worse that lecherous monk Miroku knew about his love, yes love, for the miko. He threatened the monk constantly that if he said one word about it to Kagome he'd make sure he could never sire children. Sesshomaru had been attracted to the little Miko ever since she had pulled his fathers fang out of his tomb. He was even more intrigued when he found that she was the shikon jewels guardian. The amount of power held within that one women out weighed that of any demoness. He swore that one day she would become his mate, but first he had to win over her heart.

He suspected that Rin also knew of his affection for Kagome. His young ward was just too smart for her own good. He was just glad that she decided not to say anything. Oh great here comes the monk now I have to deal with him again

/Miroku's p.o.v/

Sesshomaru's back already, and he seems so deep in thought that can only mean one thing. "Sango Kagome's back!" shouted the young monk to his wife. "I'm going to talk to Sesshomaru why don't you go and see her."

"I'm already on my way." Replied Sango

'Now time to have a heart to heart with Sesshomaru. Oh joy I just hope he doesn't try to kill me this time.

Miroku approached the taiyoukai with caution deciding on how he would get him to open up without endangering his life. When the proud demon was within hearing range he spoke up

"Ah Sesshomaru wont you take a walk with me?" He asked "It's such a fine day now that Kagome-Sama is here do you not agree?"

"You already know very well I do houshi so what is it?" Sesshomaru snapped at the monk.

"Sesshomaru when are you going to tell Kagome how you feel about her? If you don't speak up soon she's going to find someone else."

"When she feels the same way about me." Was the only reply Miroku received, so he decided to try a different approach. He knew that Inuyasha was just above them listening closely and that Sesshomaru was too deep in thought to notice. He decided to bring up the past if he couldn't get Sesshomaru to open up then Inuyasha could. Even if Sesshomaru would only do it to get him to shut up. "Sesshomaru do you remember the day I found out you were in love with Kagome?" At his groan Miroku smirked and continued
