Pleasent Surprise #1: Modesty?

Hey there this is our first chapter and we hope you like it, we worked together for hours on this and we have to say we did a mighty job.

"Kagome, where is the jewel shard?" Inuyasha asked and Kagome pointed towards the western lands. He picked her up and bounded through the trees. Once inside, Kagome frantically searched for the shard she had sensed but it was gone.

"Ne, Inuyasha, I can't sense the shard anymore." She said and he 'Fehed" as he sat up in a tree limb.

"We will search for it tomorrow, it is too dark for you humans to see." Inuyasha said and Kagome grabbed her yellow backpack and headed from their makeshift camp.

"Oi, Wench, where are you going?" Inuyasha demanded and she turned around to face him.

"For a bath, and don't try to stop me Inuyasha...Sit." she told him as he fell face first into the ground and made a small crater

Walking through the woods Kagome followed a stream... an unusually warm stream to where she thought would be a hot spring. She pushed some bushes apart to see an ethereal god-like figure already at the water bathing.

Kagome stared for a moment at the figure in the hot springs, before realizing with a start that it was Sesshoumaru. She went to turn away, but she couldn't.

I should be going away, but why can't I stop watching him? Kagome wondered.

Sesshoumaru snorted softly when he heard the miko muttering to herself. He knew she was there and it was only fair that he torture her as she had him. Thinking back to a few months ago Sesshoumaru remember heading towards his hot springs only to find the miko there. They had run into each other quite a few times and had begun games of hide n peek.

" Hide n Peek? What has possessed this Sesshoumaru, I am starting to think like the little miko, " Sesshoumaru growled

'What's he thinking? Kagome worried' The regal Inu youkai seemed to be deep in thought. Normally when Sesshoumaru was deep in thought it meant he was planning, which meant. ' HE KNOWS I'M HERE' Kagome turned to leave but saw Sesshoumaru rise out of the water and was instantly drawn back to the view before her.

He was a stunning sight to be seen, he had a god's body, no, he would make a god jealous. He had a well chiselled chest and going lower she saw that he had abs! One would have never thought that there would be such a body under his royal clothes

going lower, she gasped as she saw his...HIS OMG!!!

She blushed at least ten shades of red and ducked into the bushes, too embarrassed to look again at the lord...or...so she thought.

She peeked over the bushes and saw that he was gone, and she sighed and let go of the breath that she was surprisingly holding.

Kagome sighed, glad that the scene before her was gone. Had she known that was going to happen she would have gone home! Her relief was short lived however as she was scared to death where she sat.

"Did you like what you saw little miko? Sesshoumaru smirked"

"My name is Kagome! Why can't you two get that, it's one name Ka-go-me! "She yelled.

"Do not get frustrated, little miko, I know your name well enough, as for my half breed brother, he wouldn't know how to treat you." Sesshoumaru answered as he smirked at her flushed face.

Kagome was ready to yell again, but figured it useless. He insisted on calling her miko or woman, at least it was better than wench. When she looked at Sesshoumaru again she realized he had snuck up on her...NAKED! Kagome quickly backed up, which afforded her another view of Sesshoumaru in all his glory....Except REALLY close up.

Then, she averted her eyes, turned beet red and opened her mouth to say something. It came out rather quiet though, but then again confronted with that who wouldn't be struck dumb.

"You can at least have the modesty to cover up!" Kagome finally told him.

"As a youkai, miko, we do not have the same sense of modesty you carry, besides, this Sesshoumaru, has nothing to be ashamed of." Sesshoumaru finished with a smirk and Kagome blushed as she looked away.

She stood up and turned away preparing herself to leave.

"Miko...." Sesshoumaru started and she turned and looked into his amber eyes.

"Yes, Sesshoumaru-sama?" She said and he pointed to the spring with a pointed claw.

"Aren't you going to bathe?" He asked, he knew by asking she would leave in the state she was in. Flushed and dirty from riding on Inuyasha's back.

" Well, Sesshoumaru-SAMA, I was going to bathe, but unlike youkai, I have a sense of modesty."

she never saw it coming, and as her back hit the tree she looked at him, his amber eyes had red seeping into them. oh kami what had she done...

Finally it hit her, literally. Sesshoumaru had struck her, sending her into a tree where she slumped to the forest floor

Blood flowed from a wound on her head and she whimpered slightly when she moved, or...tried to move. Sesshoumaru stood merely feet from her, moving closer and she lifted her head, pain evident in her eyes as she looked at him.

He looked pissed and it wasn't a pleasant sight to behold, and then suddenly, he smiled. Everyone that knew Sesshoumaru knew that when he smiled, you ran for your life. Not knowing or even caring if there was any broken bones, Kagome stood to her feet and ran into the woods as Sesshoumaru smiled as he followed.

"I haven't played chase with a female since the last time I rutted." His sadistic smile stayed planted on his face as he followed after her.

Kagome ran towards the middle of the woods, knowing that Sesshoumaru was not far behind her. Thinking fast she swerved back towards the western lands. Coming back on the hot springs where the encounter had started she dove into the water. She heard Sesshoumaru nearby, it didn't sound like it was safe to come out yet. Looking up through the water she saw a huge white dog.

'Crap he transformed, but why?!' Kagome took the time to consider a safe place to hide until the Western Lord calmed down. She felt a current of water by her legs and looked down, there to her surprise and good fortune was a tunnel leading to a pond.

Moving quickly she got into the pond area and jumped out her clothes dragging her down. When she turned around she saw the white dog sitting there waiting for her to appear. When he looked up she took off into the woods again. When she looked back after a while she didn't see him there.

'Good I got away' she thought as she kept on running. Then she ran face first into the still bare chest of the guy she had been running from

Sesshoumaru made a point to trap her, as he wrapped very strong arms around her. Kagome froze where she was, this was really bad.

'This is not good, I'm in close range of a very naked and * gulp* very happy Inu Taiyoukai'

"Do not be afraid little miko, I've had my fun for the day, you have more smarts than the hanyou gives you credit for, Sesshoumaru smiled as he took in her currently soggy state.

'Crap, he's looking at me and I'm all wet! My shirt is white too!' Kagome crossed her arms as best she could in the Western Lord's grasp. Sesshoumaru smirked again and let her go.

"I hope we can have such a pleasant encounter next time Kagome, Sesshoumaru said.

'Whoa he said my name!' Kagome looked astonished as he put his clothes on and continued on as though nothing had happened at all.

Not in the mood for a bath now, she sadly and wetly headed back to camp. when she arrived Inuyasha looked at her as if she grew two heads.

" Did you have a bath with your clothes on, wench?" he said as he hid his laughter, but was quickly quieted when she looked at him, her soft curves evident through her wet clothes and she looked around at the camp and saw that everyone was sleeping except for Inuyasha

" Turn around." She demanded and when he did he could hear the soft rustle of clothing as she undress right there in the camp and his arousal grew. Then the overwhelming scent of Sesshoumaru reached his nose and he turned around to ask Kagome about it, but found her very....undressed at the moment

" INUYASHA.. SIT!" Kagome yelled.

" Ow what'd ya do that for, wench!?" Inuyasha complained

" She did that little brother, because you looked when she told you not to." Sesshoumaru smirked from the tree his half brother was a real dimwit.

" Sesshoumaru what are you doing here?" Inuyasha growled and while the two started fighting Kagome quickly put on her miko garb.

" I was just checking on the miko, we had an interesting encounter today, Sesshoumaru answered coolly"

" SESSHOUMARU I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" Inuyasha growled in outrage.

" For what hanyou? I did nothing to your precious little shard detector." Sesshoumaru grimaced at the loud noise his brother made.

" WHAT! WHAT DID YOU CALL ME?!" Kagome yelled.

" Those are not my own words, Kagome, they are your beloved hanyou's words." Sesshoumaru answered calmly, he wanted her to reside in him when she got hurt and boy will the hanyou pay.

" Inuyasha, please tell me he's lying." Kagome looked hurt.

Inuyasha couldn't even look her in the eyes, when he shook his head no. Sesshoumaru looked at Kagome and noticed the look get even worse. It was not a look of pain, but of outrage.

" INUYASHA! SIT BOY! SITSITSITSITSITSITSIT!"

Inuyasha was planted into the ground numerous times as his brother sat on the tree limb looking quite amused. Then Sesshoumaru turned to Kagome and spoke.

" Kagome, this Sesshoumaru would like to speak with you for a moment. Sesshoumaru smiled"

Kagome looked hesitant, but followed him into his lands again. Away from the group and from the recently planted hanyou. She looked up into amber eyes and asked one question.

" Why?"

" Why what miko?" Sesshoumaru wondered.

"Why did you come back to camp where I was?" Kagome asked.

" Because the hanyou needed to be put in his place, that and you make punishment impressive." Sesshoumaru smirked and she blushed for the hundredth time that night.

"Kagome," Sesshoumaru said her name, as it rolled off his tongue like fine wine, " a while back, Naraku kidnapped Rin, my ward, for doing that I wish to kill him." she looked at him and nodded.

" Ok, but what does that have to do with me?" she asked and he looked at the camp.

" I wish to join you and your group." he said finally and Kagome let out a gasp. suddenly a furry head came into view.

" I don't care what anybody says, he is not joining the group." Kagome gave him a death glared and his ears flattened.

"Sit boy, like the bad puppy you are,"

Inuyasha made another crater in the ground and Kagome stuck out her hand, " Welcome to our group, Lord Sesshoumaru." She said and he shook her hand and made their way to the fire.

As they arrived at the fire Kagome sat down and began making Ramen. Sesshoumaru watched her seemingly interested in every move she made. Sango and Miroku were still wary of the newest and more recently ex rival. Shippo didn't seem to mind and Inuyasha was the last into camp. Kagome smiled at the Western Lord when she noticed him watching her.

'I'm starting to think he likes me, Kagome thought'

Sesshoumaru saw the thoughtful look cross her face and smirked.

' So she's picking up on my thoughts now is she?'

It was true, Sesshoumaru wasn't going to deny the fact that both he and his youkai were drawn to the little miko beside him. He denied it for far to long and now he just accepted it. What bothered him was the way his half breed brother treated her during the searches for shards. Kagome saw the troubled look in Sesshoumaru's eyes and put a small hand on his arm to get his attention.

" Sesshoumaru? We'll find Rin, if Naraku has her I'll be able to sense him, and then we can save her." Kagome offered.

" While I am worried about Rin, I am more concerned with the hanyou's treatment of you." Sesshoumaru offered the answer easily.

" You shouldn't worry about that, I can easily take care of him." Kagome answered.

" I know you can, little miko, but it is your feelings that can not be controlled at times." Sesshoumaru sighed.

Kagome smiled and scooted closer to Sesshoumaru. The Inu Taiyoukai was showing so much more emotion than she had ever seen and towards her. It was unusual but it was amazing at the same time. To have this gorgeous youkai sitting beside her as though it was her rightful place.

Kagome began thinking about the possibilities and soon she forgot all about Inuyasha and Naraku. Focusing instead on the affection and attention that the great Sesshoumaru had centred on her.

Kagome was not one that had affection showered on her....well unless it was from Kouga or hojo, then it was unwanted affection. She didn't want to hurt their feelings but they just didnt get it. Kouga was a friend, nothing more, nothing less and Hojo was the nightmare her friends threw at her.

She once saw her friends drawing and when she looked at it she was horrified. It showed her and Hojo MARRIED!!

She nearly threw up.

But now, Kagome imagined herself and the demon lord together. For life.

She wanted kids, did Sesshoumaru want kids? Not just a child for an heir, but a family. She thought of the times where Inuyasha said that Sesshoumaru was a spoiled brat....but....she looked at it in a different light. Sesshoumaru was born to be an heir and Inuyasha was born out of Love, something Sesshoumaru's mother and father didnt have.

Well guys this is the very first chapter of Pleasant Surprises. Hope you all enjoyed it. Chapter 2 is in the works, shouldn't be long though. If you really liked it, review and we'll write even faster lol. The second chapter promises to have more excitement and who knows, maybe a surprise appearance from one of Kagome's troublesome friends.
