Kagome and Bankotsu

A/N: I'm back after school and work and i hope you enjoy the story. Please R&R. The words in ' ' is what she/he is thinking and the words in " " is what they're saying. Enjoy.

~Imagine running clear through the forest. The smell of rain and dead leaves on the floor as well as rotting tree bark. You stop and catch your breath but remember Inuyasha told you to keep on running.

Kagome ran through the wet forest. She stopped to catch her breath and then looked back.

"This should be far enough" she said aloud

She looked down to see her shoes covered in mud.

"I sure hope Inuyasha is okay"

Suddenly she heard a loud crash and looked back to see smoke and fire. She heard a scream.

"Oh no...Sango?"

She could feel jewel shards heading her way. She started to run further into the forest and decided to hide in a small dark den.

"Oh I hope he doesn't come in here."

She took out her bow and arrows and had them ready and aimed for whatever may come her way. She stood in the den for about ten minutes but saw nothing past by. Just when she was about to come out she saw Bankotsu walking by. She stopped and slowly walked backward into the darkness.

'No, I thought he was dead how could this be. I saw Inuyasha cut him. I saw him!!'

Just then she saw a piece of Inuyasha's fire-rat cloth in his fist.

"You might as well come out girl; I've just about finished everyone" he said aloud

'He must be stupid if he thinks I'm coming out there'

"If you don't want to come out then I will flush you out" he said aloud

Suddenly the thunder roared and lightening flashed as it started to rain.

'Maybe he doesn't know where I am, he is only human....right?' She took a big gulp.

It started to rain harder, and a smirk came on Bankotsu's face.

He lifted up Banryu, and held it tight in his other fist.

"I'll tear down this whole forest"

She aimed her arrow at his neck and then pulled it back.

'Ready....aim....'

She fired the arrow.

'What?'

Bankotsu, turned his neck in time for the arrow to miss. He looked behind him to see the tree where the arrow was lodged in. When he turned back around Kagome had another arrow aimed at his head.

"So you came out of your hiding? Smart, and yet stupid"

"You're the stupid one"

"How does it feel to be alone? Are you scared?"

"Why? You're no one special, just a human like the rest of us. Except with jewel shards"

"Speaking of jewel shards I happened to come by these" he said holding up kagome's jewel shards.

She looked down at her chest and didn't see the bottle they were supposed to be in. The bottle was gone.

"How'd you get those!!?"

"Don't worry about that worry about what I'm going to do to you!!!!" He said as he attacked her with Banryu."

The energy the sword emitted destroyed the whole den, she was lucky she moved in time. Kagome shot her bow and arrow but he caught it in his hand.

"No, you can't, how'd you? My arrow...?"

"Honestly do you think you have a chance of defeating me?"

"What do you want?!!!"

"Naraku has ordered me to destroy anyone or anything that means something to Inuyasha and my dear you are one of them."

"Oh I see you have a master that you are forced to obey, no wonder you constantly want us dead."

Bankotsu rushed toward her.

Kagome gasped and quickly tried to aim at him. He was so quick she couldn't get a proper aim. When he arrived in front of her he grabbed her and threw across the ground.

She screamed as he threw her and she fell to the ground. She got up on her knees slowly.

She looked up and saw her bow and arrows weren't next to her. He slowly walked toward her. When she went to get up and run he grabbed her arm.

"I take orders from no one!" he said with a deadly look on his face.

She looked behind him and saw that he had stuck his sword into the ground.

'Is he planning to kill me?'

He then pulled her toward him and kissed her. He broke the kiss and looked at her. Rain continued to pour and they were both soaking wet from head to toe. He continued to stare at her so she decided to do something. She looked behind him and saw Banryu again and decided that she would have to get her arrows then run to his sword so he would have no weapons. He kissed her again and put her against a tree.

"You fool" she said as she slapped him. "Get off of me"

He smiled and touched the part of his face where she slapped him.

"Would you rather Inuyasha than I?"

Kagome took in a breath, and was silent.

"I thought so" he said

He let go of his hold on her arm. He walked toward his sword and picked it up then walked back toward Kagome. She took a step backward as she saw him coming with his sword. He smiled.

"Someone is coming here"

"What?"

"They better come quickly, because you're dying"

"What"

He then took his sword and cut her across her chest. Automatically a big red line came and her shirt became almost full with blood as it dripped unto the floor. Kagome fell to the ground. She could feel the blood from where he sliced her. She got up and tried to run but he then sliced her across her back cutting her shirt in half. She fell to the ground.

'He's going to finish me off'

He bent downward and lifted her head up by her hair.

"Tell Inuyasha I said I'll be back" he said as he dropped her head back down.

Bankotsu then turned around and was gone in a matter of seconds.

Kagome tried to get up but she couldn't. She was too weak.

'Curse him' she thought as she coughed up some blood.
