Let the games begin!

At school Kagome watched as the sakura blossoms fall to the ground. Just walking home from school was a drag. Nearby an old begger was shaking a can of coins. "Please miss would you spare a penny?". Kagome pitied the man in rags and a cracky voice. She had seen enough souls in the past with poverty. 'Too bad, if he was rich before im sure he would of been handsome.'

"Sure." Kagome handed him a dollar. She didnt need the money for someone needed it more than her. Kagome remembered she had an extra sandwich in her bag. However she didnt eat it since it was only a half day. She could eat when she got to the past with the gang. She handed the sandwich to him. "Thank you so much! Your such a nice girl."

The man gulped down the sandwich and patted his stomach in happiness. The man paused and pulled out a game board. It was small but it looked brand new. "Here you go its a new game that I got in a different country. Take it."

Kagome shook her head 'no'. " I couldnt possibly take it. It looks brand new though. You should give it to your kid or something." The man smiled. "No, im sure it would be better in your hands." The man chuckled.

Kagome bowed. "Thank you ill treasure it. Im pretty sure Souta hasnt played this game yet."

The man gave a frown. "Did you say Souta?"

Kagome nodded. "Yup hes my little bro."

The man nodded in understanding. "I see."

"Well it was nice meeting you, Bye." Kagome went on her way to the shrine.The man turned around and picked up an old picture of a smiling Kagome and a baby Souta.

'Kagome...."

Kagome saw her mom sweepng the steps. 'Mom would kill me if she saw me talking to a stranger.' "Hi mom!"

"Hello dear. How was school today?"

"Fine, just fine. Im just gonna bring some stuff and leave ok?" Kagome smiiled. "Sure just be home alittle early since its your dad's birthday soon alright?". Kagome sighed 'how long had it been? Five years? Six? Kagome no longer remembered'. "Allright mom." Kagome was about to go to get her things when her mom stopped her. "Kagome what's that?" 'Shoot! I got caught.'

"Its just a gift mom. See you!" Kagome ran off to get her things. Kagome's mom sighed knowing very well what that game was. Afterall it was the game her and her husband played alot. "Could it be that...?" Kagome's mom shook her head. "Enough with the game's Yoji." Kagome's mom continued sweeping the steps. She knew very well what was going to happen.

Kagome grabbed a flashlight and her first sid kit. She knew they would come in handy in the future. After getting some other necessities she went out side and jumped into the well and passing time.

On the other side of the well Inuyasha waited for Kagome to get back from school. He thought the whole idea was alittle stupid. In the future women have to study usless information.

Kagome popped up from the well as Inuyasha jumped down from the tree. "There you are. I was about to get you later. Your early for once."

'Well at least hes in a good mood today, no insults.' " It was half day today so more time to find the shards."

Inuyasha grabbed the yellow backpack with strange goods from the future. "Finally! You should have more days like that."

Kagome giggled. "I wish that too."

Inuyasha and Kagome made it to Kaede's hut. When Kagome brought out the food the game came out. Shippo picked up the game and started to sniff it. "What's this Kagome? I kinda smells weird."

Kagome looked at the game. "Oh that's a game a man gave me."

Inuyasha looked suspicious. "Your boyfriend?". Kagome fumed. "So much for the nice mood'. "No, its from a beggar who felt didnt have any lunch. He was really nice."

Inuyasha just got more suspicious. "Oh so it was your boyfriend! I see how it is."

Kagome fumed even more. "Inuyasha for your information hes twice as old as I am."

Inuyasha was begginning to get furious. "So do girls in your time go for older men?" Kagome flushed with anger. "Inuyasha! I dont know...well some girls do," Kagome remembered how her friend Akane liked a Doctor. (This character is from Ranma 1/2 I dont own her.) "but I dont really care."

Inuyasha calmed down a bit. 'If Kagome got a boyfriend she would lose time with me..what the f**k! Why do I care? Do I even care?' Inuyasha looked at Kagome. 'Im such a liar I do care.'

While Inuyasha was arguing with himself. Sango and Miroku came in with a red handprint on Miroku. "Hello Kagome! Your pretty early," Sango gave a suspicious look at Inuyasha. "ok what did you do now Inuyasha?" Inuyasha glared at the demon hunter. "What do you mean!? I didnt do anything!" Kagome had to explain that she had a half day. "Why are you always blaming me!?" Sango glared. "Its just that whenever something happens it usually involves you." Sango explaind. Miroku agreed. "Do I have 'trouble maker' on my forhead or something?!" Everyone giggled.

Shippo looked proud. "What? What's so funny!?" Everyone giggled harder. Miroku was first to recover. "Actually more like 'idiot' is on your forehead." Inuyasha rubbed the paint off his forehead. He turned to the innocent looking Shippo. "Your gonna get it you brat!" Inuyasha chased the kitsune around the hut. During the commotion Kagome opend the game and read the directions.

"Welcome to the land of Scarlet were anything can be switched! To win this game you must spin the arrow till you get to the end of the journey and protect your piece. When the arrow points at someone they may roll the dice and do a task. However the tasks that must be done. If a player chooses to quit they will end up in jail. In every square there is a tournament or task. Good luck to your journey to the finish!"

All the noise subedued. "Kagome what are you reading?" Shippo asked ignoring the huge lump on his head. "Its a game Shippo, do you want to play?" Shippo nodded. Sango and Miroku joined in. "Arent you going to play Inuyasha?" Miroku asked. "No were wasting time here."

"Please Inuyasha, after this ill give you a pot full of Ramen!" Inuyasha's mouth drooled at the thought. "Alright! Let the game begin!" Kagome cheered. Unknown to them Sessourmaru was getting closer by the second.
