Chapter One: Kagome Higurashi of the Norther Lands

A girl by the age of 10 start to bounce, a smile was faced on her cute face, today she was going to walk out of the palace, after many years of bieng locked inside the palace as a princess, the young girl know as Kagome may now go everywhere she want.

"Kagome-Sama, Lady Sakura said I maust come with you" A girl said, she was 11 years old, her name was Sango, Kagome's personal maid and best-friend.

Kagome smile widely and run towards her sister, she really love Sango, she was always there to guide her everytime she was afraid and alone, she never left her behind.

"Sango-Chan, how many times i have to tell you not to call me Kagome-Sama?" The young girl said with a smile, Sango smile, her master,Friend or Sister was always Smiling, she never failed to smile to others, youkai or human alike.

"Ok, Kagome-Chan, come on, Miroku was waiting for us" Sango said with a smile as Kagome smile playfully.

"U llike Miroku-Chan right?" Kagome ask as Sango blush like a madman, even though she was just 10, she know how to read someones expression, she silently watched her best freind Sango and her Brother Miroku together, if her calculations are correct, she was sure that Sango like Miroku.

Instead of answering, Sango just run towards her younger sisther's closet to find a suitable kimono for the young princess.

Kagome was so excited, they where now outside the castle grounds, her two friends where at her back, riding on thier horses.

"Kagome-Chan, where do you want to go?" Sango ask as she break the silence, ever since they went outside the castle gates, Kagome was so silent and it bug her and her friend, Miroku.

"I wanna go to the village near the edge of the Northern Lands, I want to see what does it look like, sometimes when I walk towards my father's study room I would hear a new message from the said village, I want to see the village now, please?" Kagome said as Sango slowly look to Miroku, they both know that Kagome was so stubborn and she will do what she want so theres no way they could stop her from her desire to go to the said village.

They reach the village after 2 hours of traveling, what they saw make them shiver in fright, the site, instead a village was now a sea of flames, they could hear cries of agony and pain, they could even smell the blood and decayed bodies on the air, they look to Kagome who was just staring unbealivingly at the site before her saphire eyes, they know that the smell effect her badly than they know, for she was a youkai.

Kagome watch as the huts of the village burn, she could hear cries of pain like hell, with her youkai ears, she could even smell the death and blood on the thick air, everything moved slowly for her, she watched as the people of the said village burn, yet she could not do anything, she cant move, she cant even scream, she was afraid, she barely breath, for her it was the worst scene she could take, she close her eyes, but she still see it, she could hear and feel everything.

Sango and Miroku could no loger take the scene before them, they look to Kagome and then they rode of towards the Northern Castle, they need to report this to thier Lord, they watch as Kagome close her eyes, when she opened them, ehat they sawed make them gasp, they where so glassy like a watery pond, they held pain, compassion, simpathy and pity, she was guilty, she cant do anyhing, she felt weak and useless, she want to sleep and never awake, the scene was still at her head.

After that day she swore never to open her eyes, to be blind, she did not want to see the world now, ever since that day, the northern castle became silent, Kagome, the only light of the castle slowly loose its light.
