The sky that morning was cool, gunmetal gray. Fat droplets of a lazy storm, struck all with a dull plop and splattered outward, creating a fine mist over the grounds. Despite the inconsistent rain, one being stood alone and silent. Soaked silver hair clung to well shaped muscles along his lithe form. Naked from the waist up, the silk hakama her wore were being washed of blood by the drizzle and hung limply from his hips. His bare feet were covered in the odd, pinkish mixture of blood and water as it mixed with the mud below him, but he couldn't seem to summon the will to care. And within the deluge, wearing blood and a somber expression, the cold amber eyes of the Western Lord stared out across the horizon.
Awaiting the coming darkness.

The sky the morning was cool, gunmetal gray. The large Goshiniki seemed somber, if slightly depressed within the lazy downpour. Despite the cold, fat droplets one creature remained, silent and alone. Atop a small rising slope, leaning against an old, vine covered well, blue eyes stared into the west. Sole colored hair, pulled back, fell in water soaked waves from it's binds, to frame a pale face. There was another flash of iridescence over the wester horizon, accompanied by the soft whispered voice that drew at something within the priestess. An urging to move forward, to rush headlong into the distance, to not look back. Of a sudden, the red and white clad woman began to move, down the slope toward destiny.
Unaware of the danger following.

This looks so much longer on paper... or it could just be that I really don't write in chapters. Thank you for reading, I should have chapter two up in a few moments. Simply because it is there, and I can type it before I go to sleep. :D
