Prologue

Dear Diary,

My name is Kagome. I was born more than five hundred years ago in the feudal era. My mother was named Lady Serenity of the eastern lands and she was the most beautiful demoness in the kingdom. My father died when I was three years old so I don't really remember him. My mother never remarried and she raised me on her own. I had my own court made up of my closest friends. When I was about fourteen the life I knew came to and end. A horrible demon named Naraku totally destroyed our kingdom. She almost killed both my fiancé and me. My mother, so overcome by our death that she gave up her life to send both my court and myself to the future. There I had a happy life until the age of fourteen. I found out I was one of the ladies of the east, and had a sister over the course of two years. We were very close, me and my sister, whom is named Selena, by the way. Until I discovered a hidden well at her shrine. She told me that the well wasn't a normal one, and that it had magical powers. One day me and my sister was getting ready for school, when we felt something coming from the well at her shrine. When we went to check it out, there was an evil glow. And as we walked close something came out of the well and grabbed us. When we woke up, we were amazed that we were back home in the feudal era. So we decided to keep walking. Suddenly there on a tree was my child hood sweetheart Inuyasha, he was pinned to the tree by an arrow. As she went up to him to try and release him the arrow rejected her and would not let the arrow budge. Selena gave it a try, and to our surprise with her powers she was able to pull out the arrow and awaken him. He soon regained his memories and we fell back in love, and my sister had to go and take her place as the lady of the east. Soon after me and Inuyasha were married, and started a family and moved in with my sister. Well now briefly my life story, I will continue to write to you.

Just as Kagome set down her pen the door opened. my lady?

Yes Sango. What can I do for you?

The meeting with the lord of the west and Selena decided on a date for the meeting. It will be held in a month. I thought that you would like to know.

How is the baby?

She is just fine. She's sleeping right now.

That's good. How are you feeling?

I'm still really tired from having her."

Well, it's only been two weeks. You should be in bed.

I'm not that tired. Where is Inuyasha?"

He's still in the meeting room. Do you need anything?

No, thank you.

Ok then. Get some rest. Sango said walking out. Kagome put her diary and pen up and went to sleep.
