Chapter 1: Replacement

'Tick Tick Tick Tick Tick Tick Tick Tick'

Was the only sound that echoed through the men's locker room. In the corner of the locker rooms stood a sulfer haired boy with the most unique violet eyes. He was leaning against the hard metal with his head tilted forward his eyes closed. He had a determined look on his face and he smiled slightly. A dark green jersey with a thick white stripe going down each arm and side with a thin black stripe on each side of it, a pair of knee length dark green shorts with the same stripes, tube socks, cleats, and a dark green wrist band adorned his person. The words 'Silver Inus' were written in white on the front of the jersey with a large '7' on the back with the name 'Houshi' right above it in smaller print. His hair was just long enough to be put in a small rats tail at the nape of his neck and on each cheek there was a black and green stripe of face paint.

Beside him on the bench sat a boy with a little longer then mid-back length silver hair and dark amber orbs. His head was tilted backward a little as he stared at the ceiling tiles counting the black dots on them. He had sharp fangs in place of normal human canines and claws in place of stubby finger nails. Fuzzy little triangular appendages sat atop his head that gently swiveled around picking up on every sound. He wore the same outfit as the boy who stood beside him. Only a large '21' with 'Takahashi' written above it was on the back instead. His hair was up in a high ponytail and he had the same paint on his cheeks. Next to him lying down on the bench was a long black haired boy with sky blue eyes. His left leg was hanging off the side while his right was bent and propped up by the wall both hands under his head. He had pointed elf like ears, fangs, and claws. He too, wore the same uniform only with '15' and 'Ookami' written on the back.

Near the door of the locker room stood a waist length black haired boy with stormy blue eyes. He had a blue cross marking on his forehead and wore the same outfit as the others except with '27' and 'Lee' on the back. He had his hair back in a low braid, had elfish ears, claws, and fangs. Next to him sitting on the small table sat a waist length black haired boy with the same stormy blue eyes as the first. He had his hair up in a high ponytail doubled and had a blue stripe going from each eye almost to his chin. He as all the others wore the same uniform. Only with '28' and 'Lee' on the back. He too had pointed ears, fangs, and claws. They were the twins. Fraternal of course.

Right beside the fountain sat a waist length silver haired boy with amber eyes that were a little lighter than the other silver haired boys eyes were. He had a purple crescent moon on his forehead, two red stripes on his cheeks and wrists, pointed ears, claws, and fangs. His hair in a low double ponytail. He as the others wore the same uniform. Except a large '43' with 'Takahashi' above it. His head was barely tilted back with his eyes closed. He looked like, how a woman would put it, a fallen angel...in a soccer uniform, yeah. He and the other silver haired boy were brothers. The one with dog ears one year younger than the one with markings. And, to his right sat a boy with earlobe length black hair and emerald green eyes. He had two green stripes that lay on each cheek, claws, fangs, and pointed ears. He wore the same outfit but, with '67' and 'Lee' on the back. He was obviously the older brother of the twins.

The last one was standing in the middle of the room bouncing a soccer ball that was green and white colored instead of white and black. He had long waist length black hair that was in a loose braid with blood red eyes. He wore a black jersey with green and white stripes going down each arm and side, a short of knee length black jersey shorts with the same stripes going down the sides, tube socks, cleats, and black, green, and white tight gloves. He sighed as he kicked the ball right as it was about to hit the ground as hard as he could. It slammed into the lockers and the resounding bang echoed through the locker room. The boys looked to where the ball hit to see a small dent. "Why did this have to happen?" he said with a strained voice. "Why? Why did he have to quit?!" The rest of them sighed.

"He's getting married man! He probably doesn't want to be going away for weeks at a time." the black haired boy with violet eyes. "Come on let's get out there and practice. Kaitou wouldn't have wanted us to just sit around and do nothing because he left. Coach is finding a replacement at this very moment." The boy with the blue cross on his forehead stood up.

"Miroku right guys come on. Kaitou said that he recommended someone as good or better than him for his spot." he said with a smile on his face. "We'll still have a chance for the FIFA World Championships!" His twin stood up next to him.

"Bankotsu telling the truth to." He said while putting a hand on Bankotsu shoulder. The one with green eyes stood next. "Right Suikotsu?" The green eyed boy nodded.

"Jakotsu's right. Now I say that we welcome the new guy. Be friends with him. Involve him in all the stuff we do. Make him feel like part of the team. It's what Kaitou would want." Suikotsu said and the boy laying down sat up. He smiled and stood.

"I'm in." he said and the twins smiled widely.

"Alright we've got Suikotsu, Kouga, me, Jakotsu , and Miroku! Now, what about Inuyasha, Sesshomaru, and Hiten?" Bankotsu said while looking at the two brothers and the red eyed boy. The dog eared boy sighed and stood.

"I'm in too." He said while smiling and looked at the last two.

"Inuyasha's in!" Miroku said with a widening smile. "Hiten?!" The red eyed boy slowly nodded with a growing smile. "Hiten's in! Sesshomaru your the last one. You in?" The last silver haired boy looked up with a wide smile.

"If Kaitou wants it...it's going to happen...Now Let's Get Out There!!!" Sesshomaru yelled while pumping his fist in the air.

"Yeah!!!" Everyone yelled and ran out of the locker room and onto the Silver Inus soccer field.

On their way out they passed the office of their coach, Kyosho Tsukaite. He sat in his office chair looking through his files. He was a little over weight and had black hair with brown eyes. He was balding a little on the crown of his head. He sighed as he placed down the last file. "There's no good players out there. I'll just have to trust Kaitou and call up Karie to find this person he recommended." he said and picked up the phone. He dialed in the number after searching for ten minutes through his drawer for the slip of paper it was on.

"Yello!!!" a hyperactive voice said through the phone.

"Karie! How've you been doing Hun?" Kyosho asked while smiling slightly. The woman on the other end laughed.

"Kyosho. I'm fine. I'm guessing your wanting the player that Kaitou recommended am I correct?" Karie asked while laughing still.

"How'd you..." Kyosho started but, was cut off.

"Kaitou already called me about it. And, I've already called them. They said yes they'll do it for the same pay as Kaitou got." Karie said and Kyosho blached.

"What!? I don't even know if he's that good." Kyosho said while shaking his head.

"They are. Trust me. I've seen them play. They're as good as Kaitou if not better." she said and heard him sigh.

"Fine. I'm trusting you and Kaitou on this." He said while rubbing his temples in a circular motion.

"Good. They're on their way there. They'll be there in about fifteen minutes." Karie said. "Oh yeah, their name is Kagome Higurashi."

"Fifteen minutes!!! Karie..." He started but, all he heard was the dial tone. "Crap. Wait...isn't Kagome a girls name?" He questioned himself and shook off the thought.

Across Tokyo at the International Airport, a girl with long raven hair and electric blue eyes walked out of the front doors. She wore a pair of tight baby blue lowrise jeans, a sapphire blue tube top that was tight and bunched up until it was at her waist where it was still bunchy but flared out down to mid-thigh, a silver belt with diamond accents on the buckle. She had her hair which was about four inches above her waist in a high ponytail bringing it to an inch bellow her mid-back. She had on silver four inch boots that went up to her knee and had a pencil thin heel. She had a blue stripe on each cheek and wrist, pointed ears, claws, and fangs. She looked around and saw her limo that was sapphire blue with a silver stripe going down the middle then, walked over. The driver opened the door, she got in, and he drove off towards her destination.

She smiled as the city passed by and then smiled wider as she saw the Silver Inus Stadium. The limo came to a stop and the driver walked around to let her out. "Thank you. Come back at nine tonight." She said and he nodded. She walked off and into the gates that led down to the field. She finally came to the door that had 'Field' written on it and walked out and onto the field that she would now be playing on. She watched as she saw the Silver Inus team practice and leaned against the wall.

Miroku kicked the ball to Hiten who missed and they heard a "Oofff!" before looking to where the ball went. They saw a girl on her knees holding her stomach. "Oh that's gonna leave a bruise." everyone heard her saw. She stood and lifted her shirt to see a purple bruise forming. "Crap. Hey, watch where your kicking those!" She yelled while walking over. They now saw her face better and froze. She was hot, no sexy, no beautiful.

"I am so sorry. You alright." Miroku asked and she laughed.

"Yeah fine." she said while looking at each one. The door on the side of the field opened and Kyosho walked out. She walked over. "Hi there. Your the coach right?"

"Yes, I am. Are you here with Kagome Higurashi? Where is he anyway?" Kyosho asked and she burst into laughter. "Why are you laughing?"

"I...haha I am Kagome Higurashi!" She said and went into another giggling fit at the face he made. She soon calmed down.

"No, really where is he?" Kyosho asked and Kagome got a serious look on her face.

"No, really I'm Kagome Higurashi. Obviously Karie didn't tell you did she? Crap! I told her to. Her and her games." Kagome said while frowning. Kyosho looked at her disbelievingly as well as the team. "What?!!!"

"Kaitou suggested a girl." Kyosho said and sighed. "Go to the locker room and get changed I want to see what you got." Kagome only nodded before snapping her fingers and in a flash of light she was standing in front of them with the exact same outfit as the rest on. Only '34' and 'Higurashi' above it. "How'd you do that?"

"I'm a shadow dog demon, a Miko, and a witch all packed into one. Freaky really." she said to him and his jaw dropped.

"How can there be such a thing?" Bankotsu asked and Kagome laughed.

"I'm your answer." Kagome said and the other guys laughed at Bankotsu who looked a little ticked. "I am going to score a goal Miroku your going to stand at the end of the field. When I kick the ball to you I need you to kick it up in the air back to me. I need the rest of you to try to stop me. Give it all you've got cause other teams won't go easy." They all nodded. And, it started as Kagome kicked the ball forward and followed it keeping it between her feet. Bankotsu and Jakotsu were coming at her and she kicked the ball between them and slid between Bankotsu legs before pushing up with her arms and ran with the ball again. All in one fluid motion. Bankotsu and Jakotsu's stood stunned. Suikotsu and Kouga were next.

Kouga came at her trying to take the ball from out of under her feet but, she hopped gripped the ball between her feet, jumped rolling to the side, then hopping forward again letting the ball go and kicking it forward following it. Suikotsu tried to tackle her but, she stepped over the ball kicking it back before doing a back flip without touching the ground behind the ball and kicking it over Suikotsu fallen body following it. Suikotsu and Kouga too lay stunned at this.

It was Sesshomaru and Inuyasha's turn. Inuyasha tried to slid and kick the ball away from her but, she countered. She kicked the ball up to her knee before bouncing it up over her head, hopped over Inuyasha's sliding body, bounced it on her head to the ground, and dribbled it forward. Sesshomaru came at her fast and hard trying to trip her and take the ball but, right when he was about to, she kicked the ball the Miroku, tripped Sesshomaru, then did three front flips with out touching the ground and on the last one the back of her heel came in hard contact with the ball that Miroku kicked back. It flew past Hiten faster than he saw it coming. He whipped around as the ball hit the net and then the ground.

Everyone looked at her wide eyed. She smiled widely at them. "So, you glad Kaitou got me to play for you?"
