Warm Kisses by Windswept Angel

Chapter One

~~~*Warm Kisses*~~~

It was a warm spring day and everything smelled fragrant and new. In a clearing not far from a great, magnificent palace, blossoms were blooming, birds were chirping and everything had an aura of peace around it. All was quiet except for the occasional sound from a nearby passing animal. It was the perfect place to spend a quiet afternoon, just laying under the sun and relaxing next to a flowing waterfall that could be seen flowing beautifully at the edge of the clearing.

However, this peace could not last unfortunately. Laughing and squealing could be heard off in the distant and in the next instant it broke through the trees in the forms of a squealing woman being chased by a devilishly handsome male. She made it to the middle of the clearing before the male finally managed to tackle her to the ground. Her squealing only got louder as he proceeded to tickle her. Finally after awhile the two calmed down and just lay in each others arms enjoying the peace that the beautiful nature scene around them provided. The female finally, after looking thoughtful, looked up at the male and spoke in a soft enchanting voice.

"You know Sesshomaru, this is the first time in a long time, that we've been able to spend a whole day together without any interruptions." She said slowly choosing her words carefully so as to not get her thoughts mixed up in her speech.

Sesshomaru looked down at the woman and smiled softly at her, leaning down to gently kiss her forehead. "I would have to agree with you Kagome. This is indeed the first time in a long time that we've had time alone. It must be cherished because we know not when we could get another chance like this." He said.

Kagome smiled mischievously and leaned up close to her mates ear and whispered softly, "Well how bout a change in scenery then?" Sesshomaru looked at her quizzically and asked her what she meant. Kagome smiled innocently and transformed under him into her larger Inu Demon Counterpart. Sesshomaru, shocked at the sudden change, could not gather enough of his equilibrium to move in time and soon found himself f laying on a giant black Inu lying on its back. He looked up into the laughing eyes of his mate and growled playfully before changing himself.

When the transformation was complete he stood towering over her in all his masculine glory. He looked down at her with his shining golden eyes and leaned down and playfully nipped her on her neck then leaned over and licked her muzzle giving her one of his warm kisses.

She growled back just as playfully and licked him back. After giving him one of her most slobbery kisses she raised her eyebrow, which looked quite funny in her dog form, and seemed to be asking, 'now what genius?'. He looked back at her with a looked that seemed to say, 'Oh now your in for it.', and proceeded to wash her face in slobbery, loving kisses.

She tried to evade his tongue but to no avail. She wiggled and squirmed, and howled with doggy laughter as he continued to bathe her in his warm, loving kisses. Oh yes, she certainly did get it.

Sometime during their play the playfulness vanished and in its place was a quiet contentment as he continued to bathe her licking her all over. He started at her head and gently licked every crevice as a mother would her puppy and she purred contentedly. He washed her face only pausing just long enough to give her a kiss on her muzzle. After satisfied that her face and head had been sufficiently cleaned to his idea of perfection he moved on to her neck and shoulders.

It had been so long since he had done this for her and he was enjoying it immensely. He cleaned her, washing her paws, belly, and hind legs with tenderness and a carefulness not seen by many. Once he was finished with her underside he nudged her with his nose telling her without words that he wanted her to roll over. She complied and he continued his washing.

After she was thoroughly washed he sat on his haunches inspecting his work, eyeing her form critically to make sure he hadn't missed one single spot. All through this inspection Kagome did not once open her eyes knowing what he was doing and letting him have his way. She continued to purr softly and just took in the warmth of the sun and basked in the comfort she received when she was with her mate. She slowly tucked herself into a comfortable ball and wrapped her tail around her paws preparing herself for a comfortable little nap. She laid her head upon her front paws and closed her beautiful sapphire eyes.

Sesshomaru, seeing her actions and interpreting them correctly, slowly rose from his seated position on his haunches and made a quick sweep of the clearing, walking its edges and marking it with his scent to keep intruders from invading the beautiful clearing and interrupting his time with his mate. Once complete with his self assigned task he walked quietly back over to his mate, knowing she wasn't yet asleep and curled his massive body around hers. He snuggled as close to her as he could possibly get and laid his head down on her shoulders and curled his tail around her hind end to mix his silvery fur with her midnight black fur.

His purring soon joined hers and they were both soon immersed in a peaceful, contented sleep. They slept like that for several hours only waking once to quickly check their surroundings before submerging into sleep once more. Evening was dawning when Sesshomaru once again awoke. He looked around his surrounding and noticing the late hour looked down at his mate and quietly moved his massive body away from hers.

He walked around her after stretching his muscles and sat down in front of her, leaned over and started licking her face gently, purring loudly to gently wake her from her slumber. With bleary eyes she looked up at him questioningly and he grinned a toothy, yet tender grin and nudged her and motioned her to look around to notice the late hour.

Her eyes widened comically and she stood slowly stretching well rested muscles. She walked over to the waterfall and hunched down to slowly lap up some much needed water before standing once again and walking back over to her mate. He looked at her amused then shook his head and motioned her to follow. Before they reached the palace gates they transformed back into their humanoid forms and walked hand in hand towards their home.

Nodding towards the guards who opened the gates to allow them entrance, they walked slowly to their room not being intercepted by anyone on their trek. When they were safely ensconced in their bed covers, Kagome lying in Sesshomaru's arms, he leaned over and gently licked her cheek affectionately following it with a warm tender kiss. She looked up at him quizzically and he smiled and said in a soft voice so he did not disturb the peace and quiet, "What? You should know me well enough by now after 75 years of mated bliss that I just love giving you warm kisses."
