Kagome didn't run, running was just a waste of her energy. He'd already taken up enough of her energy on that ridicules Jewel hunt. He didn't care about her. He never had he never would. His words still rang in her ears.

Flashback:

Kagome had just came back. Sure she was early... a day or so... but she couldn't wait to see Inu-Yasha. So the sight that she stumbled upon broke her heart. It was Inu-Yasha and Kiyko in a very compromising situation. They were sweating and groaning as they moved together. She was speechless and her legs didnt seem to be working. SO she was forced to watch as inuyasha and kiyko finished off what they started. As the man she loved professed un-dying love for another. The Kiyko spoke up "Inu-Yasha, stop." "What if Kagome came back?" "She won't. I Let her go back to her time for a few months", and after a seconds pause. "Anyway why should we care? All she is, is a shard detector. I dont care about. I never have and i never will. SHe's just some weak imatation of you. She cant even protect herself. You are strong. I love you."

So she walked back. Not to the well. It was her job. Her duty to protect the jewel. So she would protect it. She WOULD gather all of the shards. But she couldnt do it alone. So she walked on. Walking to the Western lands. To the one demon who coul help her.
