The Dawning of Darkness by Kimi

Bad Day

Kagome sighed as she stared at her math book. Three days ago she had finally managed to get back home to her own time. She had been loaded down with homework and been told to study for a math test by that evil teacher. Her eyelids began to droop as she rested her head on her math book.

*Beep, beep, beep* Kagome's eyes shot open as she looked at her alarm clock. 'What time is it?!' she asked herself as she jumped up from her desk. 'Oh NO!! It's already 7:30!!' She quickly grabbed her books and ran out the door. "BY MOM!" She bellowed as she ran down the shrine stairs.

'Stupid test. Stupid teacher. Stupid school. Stupid grading system. Stupid, stupid, STUPID!' Kagome was having a (very) bad day. She had been totally unprepared for that test. She had been lectured by all of her teachers and an evil dog had chased her all the way home. She was sure that the dog was in league with her math teacher.

"Oy wench!" Kagome sighed as Inuyashsa stalked up to her. She had forgotten that she was supposed to go back with him today. 'This day just keeps better doesn't it?'

"Just let me pack Inuyasha." She said as he walked up to her.

"I don't see why you need all of that junk." He retorted as he followed her up to her room.

"A girl has needs." Was her simple reply as she packed.

"Inuyasha, can we stop now?" Kagome asked the half demon. They had been walking for several hours now and her feet were tired.

"Inuyasha, the rest of us do need to rest." Miroku's words were indeed true. Sango was nearly asleep on her feet and Shippo was out cold.

"Feh, fine." Was his reply

"Great! I can finally take bath!" Kagome merrily skipped of to try and find the hot spring that they had just passed.

"Will Kagome be alright on her own?" Sango asked tiredly.

"There aren't any demons nearby," Inuyasha said "nothing's gonna happen to her." How wrong he was.
