I try to follow this and your other stories faithfully. Often if there is no update, I start over and enjoy myself immensely.  The latest chapter was not too long. I was once again happily lost in your storytelling.  Thank you for sharing your gift.

I just binge read this story up to the current chapter (18). It's such a wonderful plot and there's no rush to it. The characters are very well written as are their relationships. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next.

The long game.

What a lovely and heartbreaking story.  I'm glad it somewhat resolved.  

Getting to know the Prince better was wonderful. I'm glad you spent time to really show us who he is and what his backstory is, it really does reveal interesting things about not only his relationships with Sesshoumaru and his mom but also why he does what he does. It was also nice to get more context around the Assimilation treaty as well. Enjoyed this chapter so much and eagerly anticipating the next one!

What an amazing chapter.  Thank you for the backstory on Prince Shinsui.    What a bummer that he cannot mate with Sesshomaru's mother.

I have to say you did it again.  What a wonderful read this chapter had been.  I loved it, thank you.  I feel so sorry for the prince, he's been handed a rotten deal as a kid.  At least he didn't hold resentment towards Sesshomaru's mother or him for that matter.  He loved them like his own family and I know the love is returned with a new addition to the family.  He's a great healer wonder if Kagome might fall in his footsteps?  This story rocks can't wait to read more...  Update soon.

In regards to your A/N at the end of this chapter, I think your intentions with the rut came through quite well. It was a really well-written sex scene, but those emotions really shone through. Kagome is opening herself up to the idea of enjoying life again--both in the day-to-day and the intimate--and Sesshoumaru's centuries of yearning paid off physically, but also in gaining Kagome's trust. 

But my favorite part was after, when he cooked for her and thanked her for checking with him about the shower. That just gave me all of the feels. And that's what's so special about this story. Nothing about the little things feels mundane or boring. Every small thing feels like a great step toward something even more beautiful. I truly love this story and your writing. 

I love the idea of Kagome making Sesshoumasoap! 

I can just picture the advertising: "Because you'll never get to smell my beautiful husband up close."

I can imagine that this chapter was incredibly difficult to write. I think it was done very well, though; Kagome's anguish, lashing out, Sesshoumaru's guilt over his own feelings--all of it was expressed in a way that felt very raw and real. Sometimes scenes like this can overshare and that then diminishes the message, but that's not the case here at all. 

Shippo is such a great pillar of support. <3

I guess I'm a little confused about the extent of Kagome's reiki loss? Like she was able to infuse the wedding band for Sesshoumaru and she has this plan for infused bath products, but she can't do much beyond that, I'm guessing? Like purifying youkai or erecting barriers?

The trunk of clothing from Sango made me tear up. I love the Kagome/Sango friendship so much. It was heartbreaking but also such an amazing gift from the extended family. 

And Shippo! Our little guy all grown up, ahhh!

The contents of the white box... I wasn't spot on with the handful of guesses that I had (old pregnancy test or ultrasound photos), but close! Man, I'm dreading finding out what happened to our poor Kagome. 

Loved every bit of it! With her herbal healing abilities, it would be nice if she decided to help out the youkai community by training more as a healer. Or I can see her leading the way to advocate for better treatment of youkai and the humans they are mated to. Lovely chapter. Thank you so much. Oh yeah, I would definitely let Inuyasha and Kikyo stew a bit. 

I'm so loving the attention to Kagome and Sesshoumaru's conversations and interactions in general. Even though they've both changed and have secrets from each other, the overall atmosphere that you've created is so warm.

I also really enjoy the descriptions of all the houses, the inn, etc. They sound so perfect. 

Loved this chapter! It's great to have chapters just about the slice of life stuff to balance out the drama. And it's so nice to read the little details that show how Kagome and Sesshoumaru's relationship grows ever stronger. Interesting details about why mixed relationships need to see specific doctors. I thought similarly to Kags at first and was offended by it but the Prince explanation makes sense. I hope all will go well at her appointment. And I hope Rinsho gets encouraged to follow his passion now that Sess won't be alone.

This us such a lovey story. Can't wait for more..thx for sharing this
