We have received word that another of our author's has been plagiarized!!

Quiet Whisper removed her story "Live Through Time" last year. Unfortunately, in November, the following "person" decided to post the whole thing, word for word, and pretend it was her story:

Quiet Whisper has proof that she removed the story long before this "person" ever though of posting it... but we all know how hard it is to get plagiarism removed from ff.net. Those who would like to help out by reporting this "person" and the stolen story to ff.net, go here:

I would just like to say Thank You to everyone who has already helped me in this endeavor and another thank you to anyone who reports her for this injustice. It's so sad that someone felt the need to steal something that doesn't belong to her, but unfortunately people do silly things at times. So THANK YOU for your help and support! Quiet Whisper

I am goign to reiterate with my own instructions.

SO NOT HARRASS OR FLAME.

I don't want Dokuga to be labelled as a site full of flamers. Report the fic. If you must say something, PM the author and let them know you've reported her for plagiarism. But do not flame or harrass. That will accomplish nothing and make you look worse than the plagiarist.

if you do flame or harrass publicly, to me, it is on the same level of cyberbullying. You make nasty comments with the intent to harm. What she did wasn't smart. I want to see smart actions from the rest of you.

I didn't flame but I sure as heck reported it. I hate to see someone rip off someone else's genius. I love that you all band together and support each other with things like these.

Didn't flame. Reported it and left a review note saying that since this story didn't belong to her, it didn't deserve a review from me while it's in her name. Asked her to do the right thing and remove remove it.

reported and I told the plariarist that "I have reported you for plagiarism" hope thats along the lines of something that is acceptable Skye! I really hope ff.net takes care of this, or that this girl takes it down of her own accord.

When the story was being posted, I knew it sounded familiar. At the time though, I couldn't find any other incarnations of the story and figured it was a rewrite.

I'm sorry to hear that's not the case. Kudo's to Whisper for a good story, even if it is unfinished

especially with all the issues involving bullying right now. No matter what, there isn't a reason good enough to sink so low. Too many kids are taking their lives from stuff like that. We're above that here.

Exactly. You also never know when one of these thieves is just a silly little kid who didn't know better or made a mistake when trying to get attention. =/ Not an excuse or a good reason to steal by any means... but still.

I would have wanted the same support if something like this was happening to me! It's not right or fair to Whisper that someone would do this...and if she gets away with it once we risk the chance of her (the writer) attempting it again
