Hello! I was curious if anyone is interested in restarting the DDN. In fact, if it is okay with the mods, I will host one a month, every first Thursday of every month in 2018, and bring the banners.

Most of you know, DDN's are Drabble/Drawble Nights. 10 prompts, 10 minutes each, 100 words per (or quick sketch). Also, the instant community feedback of fellow chatters is motivating.

They are so VERY instrumental in sparking creativity. What you create can stand on its own or be combined into your ongoing works. OR! Start a whole new amazing project.

If the mods are cool with it, I'll see anyone who wants to the first Thursday of every month in the chatroom (I am on PST, so time TBD. I'm thinking 6:30 PM)

Initial Ground Rules:

Regardless if no one showed up one month, I will be there the next month with bells on.

Prompts posted in chat need to be SFW! We have community members under the age of 18 and we want everyone to contribute. If you have any 18+ content, please join us, have fun creating, and post it to a correctly tagged story/art entry.

Each night has a theme that will be revealed at the end. If you want to guess the night's theme, you must in a private message to the host. Don't ruin the guessing fun for anyone else.

You do not need to complete all 10 prompts to collect the banner.

It isn't a competition. Please come and have fun! PRACTICE! And be a part of this community.

Is fine by me!! I know there's been interest in reviving DDN, but I also know chat has been balky for some people. Can't really help much there because navigating that morass is not in my skill set.

I do know that it works better with Chrome than any other browser I've used, if that helps any!

I'm in! I can't promise I'll be there for all of them because of school, but I'll participate!

Sounds interesting! I was always curious about this!I am willing to give it a try but can't promise that will be always there.

Since chat is a little funky for people, I will also update the forum topic for each prompt as we go, then they will be open for banner collection for a week afterwards.

I use Chrome and get a 'chat needs java' error. I have re-downloaded java and made sure browser is enabled in the control panel. I also tried adding the direct link to the exception tab in the security settings, but it still doesn't let me in. Haha. Guess I'll have to do the forum route.

Never mind! I got it to work finally in Internet Explorer ( three browsers later ). Yay!
