Every time I hit it, it takes me to the profile edit when where I really want to go is to my Profile home page.

When you click on your profile it should take you to:
http://dokuga.com/component/option,com_comprofiler/Itemid,173/

or:
http://dokuga.com/component/option,com_comprofiler/task,userProfile/user,175/

They both take you to your main profile page, which is exactly as everyone else sees it, except for the edit button in the top left area of the profile. Is this not working correctly for you?

When I click on my profile while in the forums it sends me to the user edit:
dokuga.com/component/option,com_comprofiler/Itemid,150/task,userDetails/

is it supposed to do that?

It does the same for me. I actually can't access my picture profile except through the links Miss_Kagura gave in this topic.
