Thank you :) I really hate shading haha but yes, I believe this one looked good without the shading. And I probably would have wrecked it by shading it anyways.
I think the lack of shading actually makes this picture even better! It's simple but moving. Too much shading would probably tale away from the overall feeling from the picture
I would have to agree on that too...sometimes simplicity sends a greater message because its...well...simple. You focus more on the purpose of what the artist is giving out, granting it more meaning than on the details.
