Trying to ignore someone who was literally right behind you would have been easier, Kagome thought, had the person not been playing with her hair at the same time. Claws that had been a star in her nightmares idly going through the soft strands.

“Why so tense, my Queen?”

The voice sounded so mocking, Kagome had to bite her tongue to keep it from lashing out at him.

An unwelcome hand began to crawl her side and her’s immediately shot out to keep it from pulling on her binders. She was not about to let him see her completely bare any time soon.

Sesshomaru, for his part, was amused. It was not as if he has not seen all she has to offer in the first place. After all, his first glimpse of the White Queen (former now, his inner beast rumbled in delight) had been in an outdoor bathing pool.

“I am not your Queen,” his little miko all but snarled at him, “My king still lives.”

He smiled indulgently, but his blood boiled.

“Keep speaking such and I will rectify that sooner than I had planned.”
