Toxic
Picture information
Description:
"...From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.
From forth the fatal loins of these two foes
A pair of star-cross'd lovers take their life;
Whose misadventured piteous overthrows
Do with their death bury their parents' strife.
The fearful passage of their death-mark'd love..."
-Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet
So when I saw Rikayu's toxic challenge I thought of this. Sort of tragic lovers, we'll meet in death, double suicide.
They both wear almost all white because traditionally I believe one would wear white when commiting seppuku (this isn't considered honorable since it's death by poison but whatevs xD) and I folded their haori tops backwards to signify their death as well.
Hopefully noone notices how late this is >.> normally I dont check the forums very often and I just saw the prompt... Shh.. dun tell anyone I told you that...

Anyway, I agree wholeheartedly with Rikayu-chan. Red is such a powerful colour; it represents love and death (I think... with blood being red and all). I love this idea, and though I find it sad that they couldn't be together in life, I do hope they find each other again in death (I love happy endings!). Beautiful job.
WOW~ i like thiiiiis~ I love how the background is red. like... i just like it like that. liike... uhh *thinking of what she was previously thinking of* it contrasts alot with the two figure in the center and not only represents their death, but their passion and love for each other.
