I am a Taiyoukai
“Please, stop,” sobbed Kagome softly back to her calmer state. Undoubtedly she will go back to the cry and yelling and pulling her hair state soon enough again. Now things worked like this between them and there was little he could do.
“Kagome,” whispered Sesshomaru dejectedly, not knowing how to approach her anymore. They had known each other since they were kids and they never had this kind of situation. Given, they were a couple now… since a couple of months ago but that wasn’t the problem. The problem was far more complicated. It was her lack of memory. “Kagome… I really am a Taiyoukai.”
The girl’s sobs increased and she pushed herself against the back part of the chair in the infirmary room as if it somehow, this small pain, could keep her there and maintain her sanity. “Stop!” she cried and she kept pushing herself back until the chair started to move with the force of the push.
Sesshomaru startled and reached for her, his hand tied to a serum, but she stopped after a moment, seemingly back to herself, “Miko,” he tried.
It only served to break her even more, “Yes, I am a miko if you say so,” she cried, “I’ll be one if you say so, I believe you are a Taiyoukai if you say so, but please, stop hurting yourself!” The she doubled over, hid her face with her hands and cried all the more.
Sesshomaru sighed and reclined back against the headboard, “Kagome, I am not trying to hurt myself,” he told her softly, sincerely.
She took a deep intake of breath, “I know… stop, stop trying to prove you are a Taiyoukai,” she amended and slowly started to calm down again, “My grandpa is a priest… I am a miko if indirectly… and I believe in magic… and youkai and Taiyoukai… but please Sesshomaru… I care not for any of that. I want you with me, I love you Sesshomaru. Please, please… just… stay with me.”
The young, white-haired man with an eyebrow piercing and long hair tied in a low, messy ponytail sighed and motioned for her to come with his free hand. She quickly did and settled at his side on the bed, curling against his lean body. He pressed her thin body to his and kissed her raven hair affectionately, “I love you, miko.”
Kagome chuckled softly, making her nose hurt but squeezed him tighter.
Somehow, it was enough. Somehow, it was not.
There was something more to him. He knew he was more. He dreamt of flying, of inhuman strength and senses… her and her unmatchable miko arrows. But, why did she not remember? Why was she so human? Was she really not the miko he saw in his visions? No, she was… he was certain. He thought it would be good for her to remember, for him to prove he was a Taiyoukai. It only served to break her. He had never seen her horrified face, not until they day he jumped down from a tree and fell on the floor, spraining his ankle.
He shook his head and kissed her hair again.
He had promised her, with his kisses, not to do it again. But, would he be able to fulfill his promise? Was this need to show her just that or was he trying to show himself too?
His chest clenched with apprehension and concern. There was only one thing he knew was real… “I really love you, Kagome.”
“I do too.” She replied back lazily.
Idly, he wondered if that was true for she didn’t seem to listen to him for real when he spoke of being a Taiyoukai or about her being a miko. She did, but a big part of her ignored him. Then he remembered love is a fickle, dangerous thing something… love was selfish too. That, however, did not deny what she felt… she loved him, so much that the thought of him leaving was enough to corner her into insanity. The same way that he, selflessly, could not allow her to fall like that, much less being the cause of such a tragic thing. If being a Taiyoukai meant losing her… then perhaps, he rather be human.
He hoped… dearly hoped… love was enough to quench that need, thirst away.

Plot Bunny: Slaughtered!
So, yes, this idea was circling me like a hawk but since I have much, much SessKag stories, I decided to do this to rid myself of the idea. I think it worked. Though I truly wonder what would happen with them in this setting... perhaps ten years from now? Who knows... maybe in college? Would they remain together? Will Sesshomaru be able to stop this urge to be a Taiyoukai again? Does the Shikon no Tama exist? Ah, so many possibilities!
Ehrm... not beta edited so, sorry for the grammar :3
