Kagome some how was turned into a Shadow Inu-yokai during a dragon attack. She was wounded and taken back to Sesshomaru's shiro to be healed only to wake up as a demon. After the freak out she simply took off out the castle to experience the enjoyment and freedom her demon side produced in her. Sesshomaru only managed to get his obi around her naked waste before she was gone.
